Male Texas school official spanks teen girl, setting off corporal punishment gender debate

A Texas mother says a local school district is covering its own rear end by considering a policy change regarding corporal punishment after a male vice principal paddled her daughter so hard it left a nasty mark.

The district in Springtown, just outside of Fort Worth, allows corporal punishment, but only when doled out by a teacher or administrator of the same sex as the student. But when Taylor Santos, 15, allegedly let a classmate copy her homework, Vice Principal Kirt Shaw disciplined the girl with a large wooden paddle, which he swung with a violent, upward motion, according to the girl's mom, Anna Jorgensen.

“She was telling me it was numb and that it burned,” Jorgensen said. “And it looked like a burn. She slept on her side that night. She was more humiliated and embarrassed than anything, but the more she and I thought about it, it wasn’t fair and I thought I needed to do something about it.”

But instead of reprimanding Shaw for the cross-gender blow, the district is considering doing away with the requirement of same-sex spanking. Springtown ISD Superintendent Mike Kelley told FoxNews.com that the district’s seven-member board will consider revising the policy at a meeting Monday evening.

Corporal punishment is the most efficacious method of child discipline and by all accounts the young lady deserved it--but not at the hands of an adult male who is not a close relative.

As far as lesbians or homosexual men spanking teens of the same sex I would be just as outraged if the sexual perversions of the adults were known...just as I would be appalled if known pedophiles were permitted to use corporal punishment on young children of any sex.

Much of the problem in schools seems to be from female teacher banging (and providing drugs/alcohol) to teenaged boys.

And there are sexual sadists in the TSA who’ve been exposed.

Your anger at the VP is misplaced. The culture of corruption is much more pervasive and there is no evidence that the VP got any kinky thrill from it. No body parts were exposed. His hand did not come in contact even with her clothed bottom. Mama knew and was for it before she was against it. In fact, the original punishment was non-violent.

Those who say “it’s wrong to hit a woman” are setting themselves up for the followup “it’s wrong to hit a child”. Define hit. And if some gang banging thug was female and asked for your wallet, you’d take your pistol whipping and let her walk?

So you see nothing wrong with a strange adult male paddling the buttocks of a 15 year old girl—you can read his mind and find no prurient interest on his part?

I suppose it would be okay for men and teen girls to bath together if there is no “evidence” the men are getting any kinky thrills from it.

There is such a thing as “appearances” and eschewing a behavior that invites misconduct— and do please forgive me but I still believe in women behaving as ladies and men as gentlemen and can trace the whole history of America going to Hell from when the country abandoned those honorable conservative principles.
