Leno: ‘We Wasted Four Years Waiting For Obama To Do Something About The Economy’ By Noel Sheppard | September 28, 2012

Jay Leno took some surprising shots at President Obama Thursday night.

During the opening monologue of NBC's Tonight Show, the host said Americans wasted four years for the current White House resident to do something about the economy (video follows with transcribed highlights and commentary):

Jay Leno is obviously a racist.

Jay Leno just took a major hit to his wallet in taking a very reduced salary and the Tonight Show had some layoffs too because of the economy and various and sundry regulations being shoved down our throats.

They need to make him un-hip, passé, cliché, old, stale, yesterday's fashion.

Exactly.

We need to realize that the left are selfish, egotistic and yearn for attention. People that will not pay for insurance, car payments, utilities, etc. so they can keep that iphone on. They do not put their own family before their infantile needs.

A few years back I was familiar with a nest of lefties. Two brothers were raging about how the government didn't do more to save their mother who was ill and also mentally debilitated. Their mother was on all sorts of assistance but they blamed everyone else for not paying more to care for her better.

They blamed me, they blamed my Conservative friends and family...

Then they talked about how much work and money they put into their cabin boat and how much weed they smoked, all the partying they do.

I suggested that perhaps they should have spent less on their "entertainment" and more on their family ...

it just doesn't connect in their brains

I read somewhere that Leno has yet to spend a penny he’s made from the Tonight Show. He’s supposedly living off of the money he made when he was doing standup comedy shows.

Blame for Benghazi will be interesting .... in the long term. Obama’s policies are a major part of why this happened; however, SOS Clinton is directly responsible for security - directly, as in her name is signed on the Libyan ROE docs. IF she is thinking about 2016 (and I don’t think she’s ruled it out ... certainly her supporters like Slick, Rendell, etc. have not), then she needs to NOT get the blame. Obama doesn’t want his historical legacy sullied - might keep him off Mt. Rushmore. The options are: both at blame (unacceptable to both), Obama or Hillary. The long-term implications spin begins ....

Leno has from time to time made some “token” jabs at 0bama. Litterman, on the other hand, is a devout 0bama worshipper. Always making fun of Republicans (including suggesting the rape of 14 year old Willow Palin), but NEVER of 0bama. I refuse to watch him, he is utterly beneath my contempt.

The really high-paid athletes give their high salaries to charity and live off of the endorsements. Has something to do with tax rates.

Shaq, Manning, Brady, et al.

leno has missed the point

0bama HAS been doing something about the economy... he’s been working it worse... as planned

leno just hasn’t come to understand that was the intention all along.

leno isn’t an America hater, like 0bama

Hope it is not To little to late Leno, but maybe you should be watching 2016, Obama doesn’t want to fix the economy.

The surprise should not be that Leno said it but that it took so long for anyone to dare impugn Urkel.

It’s probably also a shot at Geoffrey Immelt, CEO of GE (NBC’s parent company). Jay’s not taking his financial downgrade lightly anymore...

I wasn’t so surprised by the laughter, suspecting that they have a laugh track cued up half the time anyway. What surprised me is that instead of a few scattered boos, you could hear whistles and other sounds of approval, above the sound of the laughter, and I couldn’t pick out a single boo.

Things they are a-changing, I think. I’m wondering if the MSM hasn’t finally jumped the shark in their effort to paint support for Obama as overwhelming, and growing. The average person, in talking to others, has to realize that this definitely isn’t 2008, when no one spoke well of Bush’s performance, and many had high hopes for Obama.

Now, although Republicans are nervous about what Romney might do (which Romney will we get?), those high hopes have been completely dashed and you just don’t hear many praising Obama outright any more.

Incidentally, the Obamaphone lady has gathered over a million hits since it Drudge linked to it yesterday. Drudge is becoming a real factor in this election; he’s the only one besides RealClearPolitics who will link to good and bad stories for both sides. Of course, libs think he’s on the right because he’s willing to criticize Dems.

I was at a Harley D. event with Leno one time. He flew in five minutes before he was scheduled to speak and left the minute he was done.

There were two children in wheelchairs on stage with him and he didn’t even acknowledge or talk to them.

Kimmel recently said, in response to a criticism from Jay, that “Noone likes him anyway”.
I have heard this from several sources. Leno is married to a Lib and not a nice guy...at all.

What's tragic is there are people who voted for him thinking he would do something to improve the U.S. economy.

No one on FR was under any delusions about the guy.

Leno needs to pull his head out of his (brain).

For the past four years, obama HAS been doing something about the economy.
