I agree with most of the letters in Talk Back about what we should do regarding the extremists in the Middle East. Therefore, we should cut off all financial aid to anyone affiliated with the tea party, an extremist group in the United States -- no bailouts, no subsidies, no Medicare, no Social Security checks, and certainly we shouldn't allow them to use public facilities such as roads and libraries. They shouldn't be allowed to use services provided by union members: police, firefighters, nurses, teachers, etc.

"Extremists Must be Stopped"
Theses extremists won't listen to reason; facts don't change their minds. They refuse to negotiate and keep trying to to take all of our rights (with the exception of gun rights) They don't like anyone who doesn't believe everything they believe.
I'm tired of the media kowtowing to the these extremists for fear of being labeled "mainstream".
If financial penalties don't sway these extremists, we'll have to take the next step: Move them to someplace uninhabited (the South Pole?) and let them lift themselves up by their own bootstraps.
We cannot allow these extremists to turn our country into a barbaric, bullying state.

If I could get the rest of government out of my life and pocketbook, I’d be agreeable to giving up most of what was mentioned, although not using public rest areas, I might be tempted to urinate on Obama stickers. Should Obama win again, I’m agreeable with the idea of moving. Imagine a nation filled with the parasites of the left. Who would they steal from if everyone else were to leave?
I expect the angry and frightened Ms. Smith will be unconsolable — perhaps even catatonic — when her boy is crushed in the November elections. Or perhaps we’ll watch as she runs screaming through the streets of the Leftist enclave of Union City-stan.

These idiots believe there is a Tea party when in fact it is basically an idea.Thse who call themselves Tea Party leaders are really not leading anyone in spite of claims to the contrary. They may call for a rally, but it is up to the individual whether or not they come.
I consider myself a Tea Partier, but I have never been asked for a nickle. That certainly is unlike any political party I ever heard of.

since, as I understand Smith’s plan, everything for a Tea Party person is stopped, then there would be no need for a Tea Party person to pay **any** tax. I’m really good with that trade off. Next, since we are to grouped in one place, we need a big enough place - a place that is undesirable for commies - a place like Texas.
So let’s recap the deal - all Tea Party people move to Texas, free loaders and slackers leave Texas. Texas pays nothing to the Federal Government, and the Federal Government leaves Texas completely alone. Is that the deal, because I’m more than ready to sign off.

Well Joanne, it’s like this. All those freebies you mentioned were paid for people, a lot of them identifying with the Tea Party. Tea Partiers pay their taxes, always have and always will. As much as it may bother you, adults, by that I mean Tea Partiers, have the same rights to their opinions as you do, we just have the brains to examine those beliefs and understand them whereas you simply parrot the nonsense the teachers union told you.
Joanne sounds like she's a TEA Partier. She just endorsed the basic platform.
Blame the paper before blaming the name. 50% of the letters to the editor are penned by “off the record” paid staff that are given marching orders by the editorial board. My ex’s first job was writing letters to the editor for copley press for several years. They get paid by the number of letters they write. You think they get enough readable letters from the public daily to fill the page. Think again.
A country populated by the producers? All the lazy slackers in another country? Sounds like a good idea to me.
