FICTION ALERT!

Herman Wouk saw "Der Fuehrer's Face" as as illustrative of America's attitude towards Hitler at the end of 1942. He used it in the following scene from "War and Remembrance." The setting is an air base in Greenland where the characters' plane was forced to land by bad weather. They are on their way home to the U.S. from Europe and are waiting for the weather to clear.
