I’m 6’3”, 350 lb. and have been shaving my head since I was in middle school. Most people avoid me, but I’m not thinking it’s from my lack of hair.

Well, I’m a fan of “Breaking Bad”....and the star seemed to thrive in his initial cancer induced baldness, yet grew to revel in the no-long-needed practice.

He sports a way-cool hat and glasses and one big bad-ass attitude that to me that draws attention and a new found bravado.

The episode where he told they drug dealer he wanted to set up a deal with by saying “Say my name, you know it....say my name” The guy wimped out and whimpered, “you’re Heisenberg.” Bad ass says, “ You’re goddam right.”

Priceless!

There was a big guy like you in the movies a decade or ago...usually played prison crazies as the cell mate for a commedic star....usually ended up being likeable...the actual guy that did the part was a former MIT graduate that was actually pretty damned smart.....

If I were going bald I would probably shave my head but at 53 with a thick full head of hair, no way!

Besides, under the mop is a very ugly skull....saw it when I was younger when I went through Basic Training......

I think that is why God blessed me with a full head of hair.....

Heh. “Shaolin monastery populations increase.”

No, thanks. It’ll get down to -35 F with 100+ mph winds here soon. [Note to self. Grow hair long...and one of those long, catfish-looking mustaches.]

I’m almost 60 and have a full head of hair. A. Bald guy once commented to me that he didn’t waste his testosterone in growing hair. My response to him was, “Some of us have plenty to spare.”

“Does this make any sense?”

Yes, increased testosterone increases DHT, which causes male pattern baldness.

Testosterone makes men bigger, more powerful and dominant.

I see it as inferior genes...

That sounds like an inferior thinking process.

Started shaving my head daily in 2004 when I finally decided that if half the hair on my head didn't respect me enough to stay put then none of it was worth the time and expense to attempt to cultivate it.

A morning session with a good electric razor keeps it smooth and shiny and costs next to nothing to maintain.

The wife loves it; whether or not some see that style as powerful might be questionable but it seems to work.

When I was a young Marine back in the early 70s and throughout my subsequent AF career, shaved heads were pretty much prohibited or at least frowned upon. Now, it seems to be a common military hairstyle.
