UK Daily Mail ^ | October 1, 2012 | Adrian Lee

Beautiful, vivacious and fabulously wealthy, they were known as the Dollar Princesses. At the end of the 19th century, hundreds of eligible young women turned their backs on America and crossed the Atlantic, with a steely glint in their eyes. The article mentions Winston's mom being one of these "Dollar Princesses" and his uncle the Duke of Marlborough marrying Consuelo Vanderbilt.

I would rather have a dollar Princess than the Lady Gaga.

They should remove the last A and call her Lady gag.

And Yes I know the Lady is not a Lady nor a Brit.

Obviously you don’t watch Downton Abbey on PBS which has a rich American heiress married to a Brit aristocrat needing money.

It comes on Sunday night here and my wife would kill me if I said I had to watch something else. I kinda like the Countess of Grantham (played by Maggie Smith) she is a hoot with such zingers. The series just intoduced Shirley McLaine as the crazy American mother-in-law.
