Speaking as a concern troll, Can I be zotted?

Posted on 10/01/2012 11:20:15 PM PDT by mhorseman

Hey FReeper's. I HATE to admit it,but I am TRULY becoming concerned about the election. I hate to sound negative, and I TRULY don't listen to the polls (with the exception of Rasmussen),but I am starting to get the sinking feeling, that we are SUNK, and that Obama is going to get re-elected, no matter HOW WELL, Mitt does on Wednesday night!

I TRULY think that there are more people, that are idiots and Kool Aid drinkers, then there are informed, rational, intelligent people (like those found here at FR), in our GREAT COUNTRY.

Am I off base here, or am I just starting to cave from being bombarded by all sides with Poll info, political commentators, and such?

Is there anyone else, that is starting to feel the same way as me?

I feel worried myself. How could we not, with the media the way they are?

Last time, the polls did not look good for McCain, but some people here were so optimistic they kept saying the polls were skewed. Well. They weren’t.

How can anyone win when roughly half the country still believes in the media?

Nobody knows how it is going to turn out, but whatever happens, happens. Moaning, groaning, hand-wringing, and especially fear, doesn’t accomplish anything.

Did you notice they got their asses kicked in the 2010 midterms and all because people hate Obamcare and by extension hate the Obama regime and democrats in general?

I wouldn’t wave the white flag just yet.

“If our fellow citizens would re-elect Obama based on his record and the results - we deserve what we get and our Republic is no more.”

I agree completely. The sheeple have their heads so far in the sand, they remind me German citizens who were forced to see the death camps by American soldiers at the end of WWII. The Germans pretended to be ignorant of the atrocities with the pungent stench of death filling the air.

Folks can only be so stupid for so long until a rude awakening happens.

This country will never get better until we admit how far from out heritage we have fallen. We are quickly becoming the Weimar Republic.

“I believe Obama will win the election with fraud on a level never before seen in the history of governments of the world, and nobody will say a damn thing about it, ever.”

Agree. If they can’t steal the election, a crisis will suspend it.

Last time the smooth taste of Obama fooled enough people that he got elected but not without the help of some epic voter and election fraud.

This time will be different.

I’m not even a resident of the U.S.A. but I fear for the future of the world if Obama is re-elected. I can’t tell if he is incompetent or evil or a 50-50 mixture, but what he is doing (and not doing) is just about a worst case scenario for the security of many people around the world and eventually that will include Americans at home (it already includes Americans posted abroad).

You need to turf this guy out and anyone would be better, even if Romney does not excite the conservative base, he’s like chocolate ice cream compared to brussel sprouts, or replacement refs compared to being in a sinking sub.

In other words, don’t focus on the absolute but the relative and Romney will be Mount Rushmore material by the time election day rolls around. There’s a mountain not too far away for Obama as well, think it was in Close Encounters of the Third Kind (Devil’s Tower, Wyoming), maybe they can re-name it as a memorial.

Both! There is a concerted effort to lower the morale of conservatives, causing us to stay home this election. You combat that by committing to crawling through broken glass, and you actually may, to cast your vote in November.

On being off base, this is not the country it once was. If we ignore this reality, we are refusing the cure. That someone like Obama could ever became our president, I'm talking character here, is proof of how far we have fallen as a nation.

Many have been deceived. We shall soon discover: are there enough who haven't to make a difference; and will God, through the faith of a few, forgive and grace our nation again with a good leader.

Now that you mention it....

The problem is much bigger than Obama.

Regardless of the outcome of this election - and I know all the pundits and billions of dollars and millions of media minutes are being spent on it.

There are tens of millions of people WILLING to vote themselves freebies - who are so bound up in “me” and “now” they haven’t any foresight, pride (NOT self-esteem), wisdom, thirst for liberty, whatever.

There are thousands of politicians, lawyers, and bureaucrats who have knotted themselves up into the corrupt skein of “governmentism”. The health care bill didn’t write itself - there’s obviously a well-heeled machine in place.

There are multi-billion dollar corporations all too willing to play along - from selling sexiness to youngsters, to advocating their junk food gets allowed under food stamps.

I could go on.

Until we resume educating people on Conservative principles, real history, work ethic, etc., and simultaneously dismissing cultural relativism, loosing this election would only be a “bump in the road” for the left

We'll not soon see their like again.

Took the words right out of my mouth. This country fell hard, and it only took twenty years.

Ditto my concern regarding voter fraud - have been bringing it up every now and again for some years in my circle of friends.
Can’t imagine there will be none.

Light on yard signs here in So. CA. Some Romney, and I haven’t seen an Obumpo yard sign.
Same for car stickers - Romney, not BHO.

The ‘historic vote’ has faded, IMO - -

Come on Horseman, snap out of this main stream media induced stupor.... IT's NOT REAL, repeat after me, IT'S NOT REAL...

I live in Obamavania, or Obamaville, and 4 years ago I saw tons and tons of Obama election signs and bumper stickers all over the place here... and this year ? nada... maybe only 1 or 2 houses here..
Recently I talked to a life long Democrat, yes, a DEMOCRAT, and they told me that they didn't vote for Obama in 2004, and they are definitely going to vote for Romney this year.

But. But But we were told any thing could beat Obama. That is why Romney was forced on us. Next time we better get a 100 percent conservative like Santorum or Bachmann. I am sick of these twins of Obama being our nominee. People are obviously asking for a conservative but getting ignored.

Romney is no Reagan by any stretch of the imagination and to say so is heresy.
