LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — A music video spoof of the NASA/JPL Mars Rover team set to the tune of LMFAO’s “Sexy And I Know It” has gone viral.
“We’re NASA and We Know It,” features dancers clad in the distinctive baby blue polo shirts worn by the Mars Rover team, as well as woman in a stars-and-stripes bikini and cardboard box resembling the rover Curiosity. The video’s lead rapper has a Mohawk inspired by flight director Bobak Ferdowski, who is also known as the “Mohawk Guy.”
It has gotten more than 2.5 million views since it was posted in mid-August.
The lyrics are available at the video’s YouTube page, with a chorus of: “Crane lower that rover.”
The video has even gotten a thumbs up from Ferdowski, who tweeted that the video was hilarious and awesome – but that he’s not sure about his team’s dancing skills.

Every time I see the word “Mars” I remember that I’d forgotten how ticked-off I at NASA I am.
