Motorcyclist's Crazy High-Speed Commute
http://zanylol.com/highspeed_commute.html ^

A 25-mile commute through Russian traffic and a powerful two-wheeled samurai sword, and you get a video showing the "quick" way to work. Sometimes this two-wheeler even becomes a one-wheeler as rare empty stretches of road disappear when the nose goes skyward. HANG ON.

Driving on the yellow lines was CRAZY! And I’d give some money for someone to open their car door at an appropriate moment...

A bike can do some serious damage.

No kidding! If the rider is small-ish, you're looking at a weight of about 600 lbs. Kinetic energy increases at the square of the velocity. So if you double the velocity, the kinetic energy increases by a factor of 4. Triple the velocity, and you're looking at a 9 times increase in the kinetic energy.

That sort of impact will destroy just about any vehicle on the roads today, killing everyone in it.

That’s crazy. I hope he doesn’t hurt anyone before the fatal crash that will surely come.

good skills? I’d say he had the most extraordinary skills
short of a professional motorcycle racer I’ve ever seen.
Downshifting, slowing down, accelerating up to a dangerous speed even with endless vehicles still in front of him, judging how he can squeeze through vehicles left and right, and Never clip anyone or anything???? Amazing. But he apparently did it just that once at least. As someone who used to enjoy going fast on bikes,I couldn’t imagine going THIS fast for this amount of time, through traffic that heavy. A 25 mile commute in 6.5 minutes?
Doesn’t that come out to about 200 MPH?
If he was going 100 MPH he’d do 10 miles in 6 minutes-—
that’s more like it, but still everything would go by in a complete blur 99% of the time, and that’s not what this video shows. Somebody’s got some essential facts wrong.

That is really old...check this out..insane Isle of Mann TT riding:

The IoM TT (Tourist Trophy) is one of the oldest and most difficult racing course in the world. It's also one of the most dangerous, which is why the FIM (the world road racing sanctioning body) took it off of the competition circuit decades ago. Even through they close the course to traffic, you may have noticed a tremendous number of "immovable objects" on the course. Every year, there are a number of riders killed on the circuit - nearly 300 since the first race in 1907 (though the majority of them are amateurs not actually competing.)

It's a very long course at nearly 38 miles with more than 200 turns, and riders are actually timed over 3 laps, being sent out at intervals, because actually racing each other would be far too dangerous.

This looks like an old video. I read online that one of these guys that made one of these videos did get killed later when someone pulled in front of him.

Probably a good bet that he is dead by now. I don’t know how to say “DAMN FOOL” in Russian, but I am sure a lot of people did that day.

Through that much traffic, that distance, odds are extremely high that someone pulls an unexpected move that interrupts his path - and kills him.

Even if they didn't, how does he know he's not going to encounter a formation that is too tightly packed to weave through?

According to discussions I’ve found on the Web, this guy (”Ghost Rider”) may be even more of an insane jerk than Black Devil.

“SRO Presents: The Ghost Rider Series:

"...In my recent trip to Hungary, a cousin of mine introduced me to the Ghost Rider series set in stockholm sweden. Having already been impressed by the Getaway in Stockholm films which featured various cars engaged in high speed police chases, I knew I was in for a real treat. And let me tell you, Swedish people are some the craziest maniacs on the road. It is no wonder that they created Volvo’s.

Ghost Rider performs some of the craziest in traffic stunt riding I have ever seen. With this respect, SRO will feature these videos in series. Every week, we will post a new episode.”

anyone else interested in bike racing or Isle of Man should definitely check out the documentary TT3D: Closer To The Edge. Really cool!

Another classic, though it's older, is "V-Four Victory!" featuring my personal hero, the late Sir Joey Dunlop, MBE, OBE. BTW, they erected a monument to "Yer Maun" at mile marker 26, for his 26 IoM TT wins!

His death (I believe during a TT race in Croatia) was a terrible shame. He was an amazing motorcycle racer, but far more importantly, he was a really amazing human being.

Mark

I believe V Four Victory is available on YouTube too. Good luck making out what Joey's saying during the commentary!
