I met the guys who were/are going to film it from the ground, this was about 5 miles south of Caprock NM.

Terminal velocity for a free falling human is about 120 mph. A long way from the speed of sound

Did Felix just say his capsule was venting a little bit?

I think they are running simulations to prepare for the jump.

Terminal velocity depends of atmospheric density. He’s essentially jumping into near vacuum at that altitude.

Shape of object falling & lack air of molecules at high elevation = much higher velocity

“Terminal velocity for a free falling human is about 120 mph. A long way from the speed of sound”

Depends on the density of the air. At higher altitude terminal velocity is much faster.

Yes, but has to be weighted to achieve s.o.s., yes?

He’s still got a considerable way to climb.

He’s at 60k and has another 60k to go before he’s supposed to jump.
