Anyone with any knowledge of military history knows the golden rule dont mess with a Gurkha.
But the knife-wielding mugger in this drama clearly had no idea what he was messing with.
He pushed Taitex Phlamachha, a former member of the famous fighting force, up against a wall and demanded money.

If there isn’t somebody in Hollywood planning to make an action movie out of this story, then none of them have the brains God gave a goose.

I like the comment of the robber "I'm in trouble now". Yes, I'd say that correctly sums up the situation from the robber's point of view when he realizes that his steel knife has broken off due to the force of the Gurkha's reaction and that apparently the only effect on Mr Phlamachha, the planned victim, has been to make him angry.
And making a Gurkha fighter angry is never a good idea.

In England the perp will get at least thirty days. And the Gurkha, three years. For "resorting to violence".
A year or so ago, they were deporting ex-British military Gurkhas, while allowing asylum to Muslims from all over the Middle East.

You want Sikhs?
Go to Vancouver, B.C. You’ll love it, it has one of the largest Sikh communities in North America.
Along with a large amount of Sikh-related crime, too.

Ladies and gentlemen, I give you...Taitex “Mongo” Phlamachha. Don’t stab him. You’ll only make him mad.
That’s one liquor-store owner robbers don’t want to mess with.

Not sure about Samoans unless I wanted a great defensive line to demolish an opposing offense but I certainly agree with you about the Ghurkas and the Sikhs. They are some of the baddest soldiers on the planet. The Gurkas tend to be little guys while the Sikhs are usually big dudes. Good high-low kick butte weaponry!

I was in the service with quite a few Samoans. Strong as all get out but running and humping was not their thing.

Kukris are wicked edged weapons. I've got a couple. I've accidentally cut myself with one while sharpening it. (yes, that's one way, the hard way, to know it's sharp enough) Great camping tools - useful for everything from trimming steaks to making kindling. If I had to go into the zombie apocalypse without firearms (even with) I'd want a Kukri with me too.

A Samoan picked my scrawny butt up and set me someplace sorta safe, once upon a time, when I was doing something stupid. Like I was a rag doll.
All of the three groups that I mentioned have a reputation for even temper (up to a point), good humor (even if they are scowling), tolerance, and sheer kick ass warfighting skills.

I had a very good friend who was a Gurka commando that came to visit me years ago. We went to a local Chili's for some drinks and a large drunk man desided that he didn't like my little friend talking to some local girls.
Mi, my Gurka friend weighted maybe 130 and was about 5'8”
and this big dude just would not leave Mi alone. Long story short.... Mi was a BANDO Instructor.... I was lucky Mi, didn't kill him.
