O’Mara Slams the State – Hints at possible forgery

In a seven page motion Mark O’Mara slammed the state with accusations of withholding evidence, obfuscating details, flat out ignoring requests for discovery and even possible forgery. The story that says it all is in regards to Trayvon’s supposed cell phone, which allow me to remind you that no evidence to date has been released which shows that there was a phone found at the scene that Trayvon was using. There’s more in the motion(s) than just this one story but for now I will only be dealing with this aspect.

O’Mara tells us that the FDLE analyst, Steve Brenton, who was able to get into Trayvon’s cell phone, whether or not this is the phone found at the scene remains to be seen, made a complete report, including downloaded information from the phone, and on March 26th gave that report to FDLE Special Agent supervisor David Lee. Lee I would also like to remind you called off the latent print report on the phone found at the scene, the date of that report is March 20th.

O’Mara had no knowledge of the report or analysis by Brenton and was able to find out about it only because he happened to be in the same building as Brenton on August 8th. Apparently Brenton just mentioned to O’Mara that he did an analysis on the phone. The impression O’Mara gives is that had Brenton not done that and/or had O’Mara not run into him O’Mara would have never known about the report. That’s only the beginning.

Upon learning of this report O’Mara requested it from Corey’s office. On August 24th O’Mara says he received a disk with some files on it but no report. O’Mara again requested the information from Corey and this time there was no response at all....

The question is, in Florida, do they put dishonest prosecutors in jail, or do they promote them? North Carolina answered that question with distinction. Not sure about Florida.

I can see no reason why Corey should not be arrested for corruption and malfeasance in office right now today.

Our justice system is broke. It’s rife with politics and very little common sense.

I’m sure the florida libs are laughing their butts off at this situation. The papers and the race pimps got the blacks riled up and ready to riot. In an act of cowardice a Republican gov. assigned a republican prosecutor to railroad Zimmerman to pacify the tribals. Before this is all finished Corey may be in jail and Scott will have this scandal hanging over him. I know I could never vote for him.

For the Florida libs this is a win-win-win. They flex their muscle demonstrating that they can use the threat of black violence, they got the republicans to shoot themselves in the foot, and they get to ruin an innocent man’s life.

If it could be shown that Trayvon had no cell phone with him, that might call into question the testimony of his female friend who reported what he had said to her.

Of course he could have stashed the phone at his father's place before going off to try to find the guy who had "dissed" him by looking at him a couple of minutes earlier...but why didn't he leave the beverage can at his father's place too?

It appears that state prosecutor Angela Corey has crossed over from just stonewalling the evidence in this case to manufacturing it and then lying about it -- and the defense has just notified the Court of it in this Motion.

Let's see what this new judge will do.

So what happens to a prosecutor who is caught during a trial faking, misrepresenting and hiding evidence?

She obviously has no fear as she knows the number of people who are following the details of the case she’s trying to railroad. Was she counting on hang ‘em judge Lester to cover for her? Is this just what prosecutors do to defendents and then when caught (probably rarely are they caught until an appeal) just say “oh, my bad” and everything moves along?

Thanks Uncle Chip. And to all, I accidentally put the link to this topic in that other post, and really meant to link [Questions on Benghazi]. Sorry.
