CAN HILLARY BE OUR PRESIDENT IN 2013?
blueunicorn6 | 12 NOV 2012 | blueunicorn6

A little question for everyone on Veteran's Day. Can Hillary Clinton be President of The United States in 2013? Here's a couple of clues. I'm not talking about an emergency situation like an assassination or accident. Look at President Gerald Ford and Vice President Nelson Rockefeller. Good luck! Extra points for being first and pointing out the correct amendment.

25th Amendment. You’re assuming (1) Biden resigns, (2) Obama appoints Hillary VP,and (3) Obama then resigns. Not very likely, but theoretically possible.

Correct. Of course, if Biden resigns, dies or becomes incapacitated, Obama can nominate anybody, or anybody who meets the eligibility requirements.

Of course, the nomination still has to make it thru a majority vote of both houses of Congress.

She could have to replace Biden as VP after Jan 20,

or she would have to remain SoS, hope Obama and Biden stepped down, and hope Boehner declined or stepped down, and the same with the Senate pro tempore.

As SoS, she is 4th in line:

VP,
Speaker of the House,
Senate pro tempore [currently Daniel Inouye (D-Hi)],
SoState,
SoTreasury,
SoDefense,
Attorney General, ...

So ironic in many ways - I firmly believe that there is serious questions concerning Biden's mental capacity, and when the question of meeting eligibility requirements arises, of course there is doubt that 0bama meets them.

I recognized the irony when I wrote it.

In this process, as in the regular election process, there is no group or individual specifically charged with determining whether the candidate or nominee is qualified.

Not specifically covered by the Constitution. The most logical and constitutional approach would be to have Biden confirmed as VP by the Senate, and if the president-elect is unable to serve, for whatever reason, the VP succeeds to the presidency.

How can Mitt Romney become President of the United States in 2013?

Mitt gets elected Speaker of the House in Jan 2012, replacing Boehner. (Mark Levin said that it was possible.)

Both the BFN and Biden get impeached, or whatever.

Mitt takes the Oath of Office with an immediate surge in the stock market and the American business world.

I really feel that The Electoral College, rather than being a ceremonial rubber stamp, should seize the initiative - starting this year. They have to be aware that there is serious question that 0bama is legally qualified, and particularly in his capacity as Commander in Chief, the military needs to know he is not a foreign born usurper.

True. I was thinking if Obama was found not eligible before he was sworn in that he could not take office and his election would be held null and void since he was not eligible. Rhomney would be the next in line by vote count.

If, the massive voter fraud in OH, FL and PA were exposed and acknowledged by some legal controlling authority, the the electoral college would have to vote in Romney.

Thank you so much. I appreciate it. The really tough thing about it is every time they flew a mission; they didn’t know if they were coming back mainly due to mountains. WWII vets never talked about the war much. I know my dad would never eat rice again.

I like cake.

The famous Marie Antoinette quote, "Let them eat cake" is widely misunderstood.

"Cake", in this instance, actually refers to the burned, black film that lines the inside of a frequently used bread oven... all that burned stuff that's 'caked' on the inside of the oven and needs to be scraped out from time to time. Supposedly it's edible, but would you want to eat bread crumbs that are burned totally black and that have been burning in an old brick bread oven for weeks?

That's the proverbial 'cake', not a nice "Black Forest Chocolate Cake" that comes to the modern mind.

Benghazi could put Hillary on top though...

Never put it past the Clintons... they hate Obama more than you or I.

First, Marie Antoinette never said “Let them eat cake”
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Let_them_eat_cake

Second, “in the original French the alleged quote reads, “Qu’ils mangent de la brioche,” which means, literally, “Let them eat rich, expensive, funny-shaped, yellow, eggy buns.”http://urbanlegends.about.com/od/dubiousquotes/a/antoinette.htm

The Secretary of State is acting President during the forty five seconds or so that it takes the President elect to be sworn in after the expiration of the prior term, at noon, January 20, 2013. There is a good thriller waiting to written about the SOS who signs an executive order, or pardon, during those seconds.

Like Lady MacBeth, Hillary can forever wash her hands, crying, "Out, out damned spots". But the ghosts of the four slain Americans in Bengahzi will forever haunt and follow her.

As Shakespeare's noble lady laments, "Here's the smell of the blood still: all the perfumes of Araby will not sweeten these little hands, oh, oh, oh".

Support AMERICAN workers, and win back the votes they have lost.

Now is the time. What else will they do?

(frankly nothing)

How about it, GOP?

Not quite. There is a vacancy in the Presidency and Vice-Presidency between noon, January 20, 2013, and when the oaths are taken. The Speaker, and Senate President, are the next two in line, but they have to resign from Congress, and take the oath as President, before they become President. So before somebody ahead of the SOS is sworn in, the SOS executes the office of the Presidency.

I'm not big on parlor games, but what if...

Akin keeps his mouth shut, Romney loses by less, but the Republicans pick up Senate seats in MO, IN, ND and somewhere. On January 19, 2013, the Republican Congress passes, and sends to BO a bill repealing Obamacare. BO announces that vetoing it will be the first act of his second term.

Speaker Boehner, at exactly noon, the next day, rapidly signs a document that says "There being a vacancy in the offices of President and Vice-President, I resign as Speaker of the House and Member of Congress, in order to take the oath as President." Boehner hands it to the Clerk of the House, who immediately time and date stamps it, and an auctioneer, who is also a Notary Public for the District of Columbia, rattles off the oath of office as President, Boehner says "I do" and then signs a document giving his approval, as President, of the bill repealing Obamacare, and just for the hell of it, an Executive Order firing all of BO's Cabinet Officers. Then the Chief Justice finishes administering the oath to BO, who begins his second term.

There would probably be the greatest constitutional crisis since the Hayes-Tilden election of 1876. But...

I think Obamacare would be repealed, and BO would have to renominate all of his cabinet officers.
