I can’t fault someone for trying anything, but those “Jungle Gold” guys seem like morons, IMO. Time will tell I reckon.

I am watching now. Those two are as good as gold mining as Obama is at running a country.

Yes just finished watching the alaska gold series. Started to watch the jungle gold but was a little tired. Was it good. Saw the previews of them being chased by the police.

I watched both shows one time and had my fill. Despite the efforts of the producers to inject some drama into the series both shows are like watching chimps trying to use a typewriter.

I quit watching it on the episode where the one moron forgot to bring gasoline for the pumps, and the other moron had to come from 3 hours away and then spend another 4 hours bringing him a couple 5 gallon cans of gas with water in it.

Gold mining and treasure hunting are not spectator sports. I don’t really like to watch it, mostly cause it makes me sick I am not doing it. Yeah, I get jealous.

I love to metal detect and dig privies. I have never really had a desire to watch others do it.

I agree, like the Alaskan show - but the Chinese are gonna whack the jungle guys before the end of the season.

I watched a couple of the Jungle Gold episodes and stopped. The two main characters are Salt Lake City drama queens who were supposedly high rolling real estate investors who lost “millions” in the housing bubble crash.

Going to a turd world country to mine for gold to pay off your debts? Yah sure!

Yup. Two idiots driven by greed who are blind to reality and technical ignoramuses. And arrogant to boot. Pride cometh before the fall.

Shows how little it takes to make millions and then loose it in a bubble.....only gold isn’t in a bubble.....yet.......

I like the guys in the Alaska series. They seem like real American spirits to me. The guys in the jungle series seem like misplaced liberals, about to be thrown off the island or something.

And every min there's an emergency that may cause them to lose it all.
""If they can't (enter any reason) they risk losing everything"" /Panic

Irritating, could only watch it once.

I keep finding myself watching the episodes for this series but I'm not sure why. While I admire these guy's gumption to go all the way to Ghana to find gold, they are idiots to do this on a shoestring: they should have enough people to keep the operation running and for real security. Ghana is the usual Third World cesspool and things are compounded by the competition from armed Chinese claim-jumpers. Any real effort should have rented a company or so of what passes for the an army in that part of the world and they should have the tactical strength to fight the Chinese (and local farmers) off.

It's gold, for gosh sakes..

I quit watching it on the episode where the one moron forgot to bring gasoline for the pumps...

I wonder if the whole show is scripted, and "forgetting" the gasoline was put in to add a little drama.

I wonder the same thing about "Storage Wars." It used to be one of my favorite shows, but then it became just too hard to believe.

“I love to metal detect and dig privies. I have never really had a desire to watch others do it.”

Same here although I do watch the shows once in awhile.

Would much rather relic hunt or dig bottles than sit in front of the TV for any reason.
