Pizza Hut may have discovered a new route to a mans heart through his nose.
The chain is releasing the limited-edition scent, which smells of freshly baked, hand-tossed dough, in response to an Internet joke that began last August.
According to a company news release, Pizza Hut Canadas marketing firm, Grip Ltd., asked the chains Facebook fans what they would name a perfume that smelled like a box of Pizza Hut pizza being opened. When the post went viral earning more than 300 frenzied comments they decided to make good on the gag. (Pizza Hut)
An aromachologist brewed 110 bottles of Eau de Pizza Hut, which the chain sent to 110 Facebook fans. The perfume commemorates Pizza Hut Canada reaching 100,000 Facebook fans, according to the news release.
The process was not always tasty, though, marketing director Beverly DCruz told the Global and Mail. All of them were not fun, she said. Cheese. Youd think cheese smells nice. Not so.

LOL, I can understand how your flower shop experience turned you off on floral scents. I’m not a big fan of the smell of roses to begin with.
I have Sensuous, too. I’ll have to check out Carolina Herrera 212.
I am a big fan of musky. The hotter you get the better it smells. lol When I was younger and was cocktailing I always wore Tabu. It was cheap and by the end of the night smelled wonderful.
Right now I am hooked on Poeme by Lancome.
I wore Jadore by Dior before Poeme.
Pure White Linen light breeze has a light citrus smell that I like. Got tired of the floral spicy types.
Is Poeme a musky-type scent?
I’m going to try that one next time I’m near a fragrance counter. It sounds like it would be nice for spring and summer.
It has a musky undertone that stays with you.
