Things that don't add up... (CT shooting)

Posted on 12/14/2012 11:24:47 PM PST by djf

Now I've been watching this news for most of the day. Remarkably, it seems to change every few minutes.

First, we had the name change. Who exactly did the shooting? Ryan? Adam? Someone else?

Then, we hear that someone in camo garb or something was apprehended in the woods. When I first heard this, I assumed it was the brother and that was why there was confusion about the name.

But turns out that the brother was actually at work - and was not in the woods. So who was in the woods?

We hear that the mother is a teacher at the school. Then we hear that she was actually a teachers assistant. Then I see a brief interview with someone who DOES work at the school and who says "Nobody here every heard of her."

Then, tonight, she is reported as being unemployed.

First, the guns (which we have YET to get a clear description of the types and calibers) were stolen from the mother. Then, they were "legally purchased"... but no indication when or from where. Latest, a brief statement that they were "legally purchased with a license provided by a family member"... Now I'm not trying to label anybody here, but it sounds a little out of character that some suburban mom in small-town New England would have that many guns.

Huh?

The ONLY picture we have seen of this guy so far is an out-of-focus pic taken in 2005! 2005? He didn't have a drivers license? A girlfriend? I can't see how he might get a gun without some sort of valid photo id.

Last I heard, only three of the children made it to the hospital. If so, this would be a stunning percentage kill-ratio wise for the guy. In fact in most public shootings, the vast majority are wounded, but not killed. Did this guy have some kind of training?

Too many loose ends. The story keeps changing.

Am I the only one who is having trouble thinking that this was just some whacko dude who blew a fuse and started shooting?

There you go. Made up, or the old telephone game, real or whatever. I just can’t figure the “I didn’t do it” of this probably imagined man in the woods with the same words from Ryan’s FB posted AFTER the supposed man in the woods. These words, stated by whomever, were reported BEFORE Ryan’s FB. Weird that he would post those same words or was repeating what he’d heard on tv when he must have been too upset to think straight. But what do I know, I wouldn’t have taken the time to get on FB knowing my brother had done this and my mother was dead.

Perfect, right on post! There is no need to look deep into this problem, the answer is to look up.

How helpful for the country it would be if what you said was shouted from the rooftop while the nation mourns and asking ‘what happened’ once again in these schools and by students. Their mourning is bogus because ‘their right to choose’ and ‘their being offended’ caused this by supporting a gov’t to enforce it.

What a hypocritical liar the leader of this country is speaking what these children will never have. They never were allowed to have God in their school nor a nation who gave a damn about life! HE and his ilk denied them the very thing they needed! And telling the world we are not a Christian nation and this is the result!

Fifty years ago they took God out the schools and followed it up with making abortion legal and now same sex marriage. When they took out God - EVIL flowed through this nation.

So the result is forty years later kids are on a shooting rampage in the godless schools and have no value for life. We reap what we sow, more than we sow, LATER than we sow.

I doubt many will make the connection - that’s why your message NEEDS to be heard over and over!

Will Sean, Rush, Levin drive that message home and put it in the lap of DC and say you guys are responsible. Put them on trial with the America public because they ARE KILLING our children. The fish rots from the top - and America is rotting away.

I think not because of advertisers responding to EVIL who does not want that message heard.

“No one can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and Money.”

That's a good report.

I notice how they say in this report that his mother worked at the school -- which is apparently now wrong.

How is it possible that all the news agencies to have all reported that. A school district official, when asked if she worked there, said that she is not in their database. That wasn't the question.

Could she have volunteered there and still not be in the database. Or had she been in the database and the school district removed her when she left.

How did this kid single out this school that was 5 miles away.

I delivered the area newspaper, in my youth, many called it “The News Crimes”, however, they seem to be doing a pretty decent job on coverage.

I’d like to know what medications he was on. His 2005 photo looks like he’s heavily medicated. But of course we’ll never be informed of the drugs involved. Neither the government nor the media will implicate Big Pharma as they both receive substantial revenue from its operations.

Hi Lurk:
Thanks for the references re: differences between sociopaths and psychopaths.
In many, many contexts, however, the two terms are used, perhaps imprecisely, interchangeably. See, for example, the first sentence to the sixth paragraph of your original site, which states unequivocally that they are the same.
Looks like some newer smarter psychiatrists have divined a distinction.
So, to be safe, I’ll stay away from both personality types.

So then there is only one person alive to tell us what that altercation was about???? That will be enlightening.

What could this kid be arguing with 4 staff members about????

After looking at the photo on their main page of the officer, he’s lucky he wasn’t crushed by all the microphones.

Yes, this is international news, in a small town. My experience through the years has been that CT State Police Spokesman J.Paul Vance is pretty old school. He doesn’t say something just to make a statement, you can go to the bank with most of what he says. I am pretty sure any statement he makes as fact has been carefully vetted, and as close to the truth as he knows it to be. He is pretty good at turning aside speculation.

There is no need to look deep into this problem, the answer is to look up.

Partly true, though every flock, both large and small and including households, need a well armed Shepperd in today's world. I can't imagine the funding that went into equipping all of those 150+ useless responders when one guard with a side arm could have prevented this massacre.

In a dumbed down society under an oppressive government, common sense is pushed aside to implement impractical solutions that leave citizens even more defenseless to evil but even more dependent upon the government for its safety.

I realize there’s no such thing as perfect safety guaranteed; but what we have now is ridiculous. I wish we’d homeschooled our son and dropped out of “politically correct” society (we did; but not enough really). The movies and video games now have “evolved” into total depradation. - This is a big country, but no room for what happened yesterday. - These “gun control” libs have no concept of the reality that when law abiding citizens are disarmed; they’ll be like fish in a barrel. I’m beginning to think that’s the motive for the crooked politicians to grab the guns. We’re just hunkering down here in the “Bible Belt” and Obama be derned!
