I wish to purchase an AR-15 and/or an FNFAL from a fellow Freeper (vanity)

I wish to purchase an FN-FAL and an AR-15, and I would like to do so with a fellow freeper who can accept payments over a period of months. There would be no delivery of the firearm until the payments are completed.

Maybe he’s confined to a wheelchair, and this is his only form of communication with others.

Huh? Wheel chairs and communication with others?

Good luck, bud!
Would you mind if I copied your post onto the Texas locale page?

More than a few weapons have changed hands there.

The time you buy the parts needed to finish the ar, you can pretty much purchase a less expensive weapon like the S&W...

I disagree. You must be buying your parts at the wrong place.

laz you might want to look into what’s commonly called an 80% lower receiver as is its about 100 bucks and is legally a paperweight..it can be machined by you (with help from computer milling) into a legit lower receiver that you can keep till you die without registering...google is your friend there was a thread about them on FR a couple of months ago

When are you going to keep your promise? Weren’t you going to leave over your Baldwin BS?

That’s right. Some of us remember your lest than honest dealings on that issue with other freepers. In between your bouts of PDS you must have forgotten. And now you want to come off like some FR life cop?

Laz, Ignore him. Or for a good laugh, check his post history. He’s not worth the time.

Sale he specifically asked to make payments which led me to believe that he's not got cash enough for an outright buy.

Also, buying a lower and a $450 Delton or Blackthorne kit is the cheapest way to put an AR in the safe.

You can buy long guns in person in another state from an FFL. Handguns must be shipped to an FFL in your own state to complete the transaction. There used to be a “contiguous state” rule on long guns, but it was eliminated on a Federal level in 1986 IIRC.

Try the Hungarian FEG, replica of the Hi-Power.
Not as pricey.

“You must be buying your parts at the wrong place.”

Maybe so. Go to Ar-15.com. The consensus seems to be that building is great but in the end, using similar quality parts, that a build is no cheaper than to buy a complete rifle. There is very little labor involved when buying a complete rifle from any of the major manufacturers. A well trained ‘smith probably takes, what? 30 minutes? an hour? to assemble an AR from scratch. And with the savings in quanity on parts, in the end, it’ll come out about the same.

But, either way, if you can buy all you are comfortable in buying. I have 2. Traded for one and paid not much, 699.00, for a nice Sabre Defense carbine after the last panic subsided.

Call your local shops you may still find one in stock.....and don’t forget magazines and ammo. Used metal mags at surplus shops work just fine and can be had for cheap. You can get your other rifle parts later.

This isn't: http://www.del-ton.com/Del_Ton_Lower_Receiver_p/lr100.ht

The lower receiver you linked there shows out of stock.

The other parts are not very useful without the lower receiver.

$699 is a lot of money for some people.

A lower today gets his foot in the door. If he saves for a couple months they could be banned or unavailable in the mean time.

Having as lower and a case of ammo in the safe on ban day is much more valuable than a full AR IMHO.

I've built many.
