Sounds to me as though we share more in common than we don’t. I had hoped she would run and, like you, was crushed when she didn’t.
However, unlike you, I just couldn’t get onboard with Romney. He was a poor choice that the RNC rammed down our throats and, at best, he was a lackluster campaigner and, not picking Palin as his VP hurt him.
IMO, if Palin thinks she will run in ‘16, she will be disappointed. The support won’t be there and, after 8 years of zero, the only thing she will be able to do is sweep up the ashes of a once geat nation and tos them in the dustbin of history.
Pity. She could have made a huge difference and chose to play it safe.

You know, dude, you’re tiresome. In a previous response I gave you a test and you failed miserably. When I told you that I initially supported Dewhurst, I was testing how you would respond to an admission I didn’t have to make.
You did what a fundamentally dishonest, immature, unprincipled and unethical person would do - you used that as a weapon with which to attack me further. You failed to detect the honesty and candor with which I conveyed that information. Those are very troubling characteristics about you.
You have also demonstrated that you are a one-trick pony. You cannot comprehend that someone can criticize someone they admire without being 100% against them. That also conveys to me how much you have yet to learn about life and the world around you.
Finally, You have accused me of being vicious, vile and hateful in my posts about Sarah. But, have you read the things you wrote to me? Go back and re-read them as though they had been sent TO you, NOT written BY you.
An honest person would be a bit surprised and a little ashamed that they allowed their invective to go that far.

Palin had a pretty good year, while the anti-Palin portion of the GOP was a disaster.

She chose to say little about him during the election and, most important, she chose not to run. Then, AFTER the dust has settled, the election has been held between Obama and a lackluster candidate like Romney, she comes out and “nukes” her would-be opponent. That’s not a position statement, that’s sniping.
Some here have postulated that 2016 is HER time. I don’t think so. After 4 more years of Obama, all she will have left is to sweep up the ashes of a once great country and toss them into the dustbin of history. We needed Sarah now. America needed Sarah now. By 2016, we will be broke, militarily weak and just one more third world country thinking it has significance in the world.
In case you haven’t noticed, we have already become the America that Ayn Rand described at the end of Atlas Shrugged. Corrupt, bloated government, union thugs, anti-business environment and phony environmental concerns. Our Constitution has been fed into the shredder as has the rule of law. All that’s missing is Galt’s Gulch. After another 4 years of Obama, what will Sarah be able to do except fall short of our needs and expectations. Our money will be so valueless that bread could end up costing about $25/loaf. We already have been warned that milk may rise to $6/gal. NEXT YEAR So, what will there be for Sarah to fix? We will either be in revolt or in absolute chaos.
If she wants to position herself to run for some office in 2016, she needs to stop sniping at Obama. That’s a Democrat
tactic (campaigning against the past). She needs to start expressing her vision for America, what she would do as POTUS to restore America to that “shining city on the hill” as Reagan described it.

A lot of posters here have attacked me for expressing my opinion of her remarks. As if we couldn’t tell, I’m not
presidential material, she is. I have never run for public office and never will. She has successfully held elected
office and may do so again. These are major distinctions between her expressing her opinions about Obama and me
expressing my opinion about her expressing her opinion.
I would LOVE to have seen candidate Palin smoking Obama and the other so-called ‘Pubbies during the debates, but we idn’t get that chance. If or when we ever do, it will not be an epic battle between her and America’s worst, most corrupt, most anti-American, non-natural born, ineligible and radical president. It will likely be against either Joe Biteme, whom a 2 year-old could smoke, or HilLIARy who has gotten where she is because of her lies and the Clinton machine.
These are major differences. And, if she wants to be a candidate in 2016, for God’s sake, she doesn’t need to run against Obama, that’s a Democrat tactic (campaigning against the past). She needs to express her own vision of America, of America’s exceptionalism and how she will work to restore America to greatness.”

I still believe Palin holds a huge support base. It will however need to be tended while others throw their hats in the ring. She is more out than in now, and will need to bring herself back in deliberately this time.
I myself would not mind, a heads-up from her sometime soon that the topic is at least on her radar screen.

I like Sarah, but she’s wearing thin. ANYONE can sit on the sidelines and snipe. If this is all she is going to do, then she needs to focus more on cooking moose stew and leave the politics to those with thicker skin.
Right now, she only appears to be a tease. She won’t run for any office, but she’ll sit on the sidelines and snipe at those actually playing the game. Whether any of us like him or not zero went out, campaigned, got his union thugs and others behind him and won.

She DID run for office, and won, that's why we call her GOV. Palin. She also was tapped for the office of Vice-President, and ran her heart out, against the Democrats, their media lapdogs, and, unfortunately,the elitists in her own party. Her efforts, even against all that, brought John McCain darn close to the Oval Office.
I frankly think she has EARNED the right to sit on the sidelines and comment on the political scene, because she has been on the receiving end of some of the worst of it.
