I would vote for Palin if she ran. But you need to quit fooling yourself. The GOP leadership will do everything in their power to prevent Palin from being the nominee. And as popular as she is, we need the ENTIRE GOP working together to defeat the Dems.

She won’t run for any office, but she’ll sit on the sidelines and snipe at those actually playing the game.

I agree with you totally. This is really different than what you are doing.

Why is everyone so AFRAID of being a Conservative? My employees are 99.999% LibTards; and these are ‘Cream of The Crop’ LibTards that actually give a chit about our company as a whole and show up for work on time - WITHOUT a Union! Imagine that; a LibTard who UNDERSTANDS who signs their paycheck!

And why do I hire them? Well, for starters, I’m still STUCK with some of them from previous management, but THIS is where I live and this is WHAT I have to work with. I WILL win this battle, ONE PERSON AT A TIME. I WILL convert these idiots...to my dying breath.

Don’t bet against me. And you can thank me later for saving Our Republic. It’s a dirty job, but SOMEONE has to do it! :)

You are judged by the quality of your enemies and Sarah has made all the right ones on both the Left and the Right.

ANYONE can sit on the sidelines and snipe

How often do you get on national TV to express your opinions?

I was waiting for your comment, thanks for playing.

First, I am NOT a national figure who has been a governor of a state and a candidate for VP. So, I don't have access to a microphone or a camera so that I can tell America what it already knows.

Gov. Palin has had 4 years to put her finger in the air and see which way the wind is blowing. She has drawn huge crowds at her various appearances that should be an indication of her popularity and how much support she would have for pretty much ANY elected office she chose to pursue.

Instead, she has allowed the momentum and the speculation to build and wane as she plays whatever game she is playing. We desperately wanted, needed and expected her to throw he hat in the ring for POTUS this last time around and, instead, she played coy until the time had past for her to enter the race.

As much as I love and support her, if she isn't gonna play, she needs to get off the field.

Yes, it is. I am NOT a national figure, I have never been the governor of any state nor have I ever been a candidate for VP.

Sarah has been and is all of those things. Because of her political past, her opinion carries (at least) 20 times more weight than mine. I don't have access to a camera and a microphone, I'm just one more guy expressing his opinion on FR.

NSS! Then why did you state "anyone"? Sorry, but it makes you look stupid. Words have meanings.

I’d go for some balance in the Palin approach at the moment.

First off the plus: Palin has a national name, which has endured one VP run and a near run last time.

Now with the minus: Palin’s near run last time, derailed the GOP.

2016 is Palin’s year. If she does not run next time, then she’s a commenter.

I’ll voter for her enthusiastically. If she runs.

If she doesn’t, she should stop playing.

(ok that’s probably a bit frustrated, but so be it.)

:D

Palin had a great 2012, she gave us Ted Cruz and our only Senate seat pickup with Deb Fischer, and some congressional influence, and she refused to endorse Romney.

Isn't that SPE-shul! America had a crappy 2012 and will have a crappy 2013, 2014 . . . Had she put her money where her mouth is and jumped into the ring, we would have had a candidate far more viable than any of the others the 'Pubbies put up. If she was waiting for Christmas, time's up and it's too late for her to do anything.

As for Ted Cruz, Ted Cruz gave us Ted Cruz. Sarah's endorsement didn't do as much to get him elected as his record and his own campiagn did, not to mention David Dewhurst's abominable campaign.

I disagree.

Palin chose to sit out the last election. Probably because of the age of her daughters.

They will be grown by 2016.

That is the year that matters. If she runs in 2016, she will have my, and a whole lot of FReepers enthusiastic support. Rock solid.

If however she holds out again, I believe she is done.

Up to her. I seriously hope she stands up this time.

America needs big help.

You mean sniping at Sarah Palin for her viewpoints which Greta felt were good enough to put on TV?

Sarah is a national figure and a solid conservative. That's why she ended up on Greta's show. But, at the end of the day, Sarah's opinions are no better and no worse than many of the people here on FR. We can ALL NUKE Obama with our opinions, but we don't all have her reputation as a former governor and VP candidate.

I would also note that being on TV isn't all it's cracked up to be. Jerry Springer, Maury Povich, Ellen DeGeneris, Bill Maher, Brian Williams, Katie Couric, Nancy Pelousy, Lindsey Graham, etc., etc., etc., are also on TV.

Why should she run for anything, the Media would jump all over her with both feet. A little like you just did with one.

I meant to include a response to this in my previous post. I don't know how to break this to you, but I am not the DBM. They have been after Sarah since she first appeared as McVain's VP and continue to go after her in spite of the fact that she does not hold nor is she running for any political office. And, yet, when she makes a personal appearance, she draws larger crowds that Benghazi Barry can attract, so it begs the question - would she run for public office to get the Media's approval, or the voters??

“I would vote for Palin if she ran. But you need to quit fooling yourself. The GOP leadership will do everything in their power to prevent Palin from being the nominee”

Maybe she won’t -be- the “Republican” nominee in 2016... ;)

(as in... the nominee of a party in its last throes of death... by then....)

(and before you jump on me for saying as much, I challenge anyone reading this to tell me what the D.C. Repbublicans have done in the past few months to indicate otherwise?)

You talk about Palin with such a vile and hateful, and dishonest tongue, and pretend that you support her, what a fake.

While Romney and you guys were shutting her out of the convention and headlining Chris Christie, Palin gave us our only Senate seat pick-up in 2012 with Deb Fischer in Nebraska, and no one disputes that, they just ignore that stunner of a victory, isn’t that “special”?

Palin also gave us Ted Cruz in Texas, at least according to Cruz, isn’t that “special”?

“”Ted Cruz says Sarah Palin’s endorsement was ‘game-changing’ in his Senate win””

“the Texas Republican Senate nominee called Palin’s endorsement “game-changing.”

“If you look at the senate races across the country this cycle and last cycle, Governor Palin has had a game changing impact one after the other,” explained Cruz.

Palin endorsed Cruz, a Tea Party favorite who shares her philosophy of liberty and limited government, just days before a wide-open May 29 primary, helping to propel Cruz into a strong second place showing. The Cruz surge provided momentum for his runoff battle with Dewhurst.

“Fighters like Ted Cruz can lead the charge for us,” former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin said in July when she came to Texas to campaign with Cruz, calling him a “a proven, common-sense constitutional conservative.”

The Tea Party favorite admitted that many have referred to his victory as “improbable.” He told Allen that the reason why Palin’s endorsement has had such an enormous impact is because voters consider her a true barometer of conservatism.

“In a Republican primary, everyone claims to be conservative and voters are pretty cynical. They are tired of these candidates that sounds great on the stump. They say they are going to cut spending, they get into the office and they become spineless jellyfish,” Cruz said. “I think conservatives trust Sarah Palin that if she says this guy is a conservative, that he is a real deal.”

I'm a student of history, not an expert.

But reading the comments on this thread cause me to recognize a bit of a parallel between Palin and Winston Churchill.

It's my recollection that Churchill was responsible for saving some of the big guns taken from British ships that were de-commissioned as part of the treaties signed at the end of World War I. This was just a small item, but it revealed Churchill to be a visionary who could see that these guns would be needed again, sooner rather than later.

Great Britain wasn't ready for Churchill during the ascendancy of nazism in Germany prior to World War II.

They weren't ready for Churchill when Hitler took Czechoslovakia.

They weren't ready for Churchill when Hitler invaded Poland.

They weren't ready for Churchill when Hitler invaded Norway.

Finally, when Hitler invaded France, the people of Great Britain were ready for Churchill.

When the U.S. unemployment rate hits 19%, Americans will be ready for Palin.

When the dollar sinks to the point that an ounce of gold is worth $15,000, Americans will be ready for Palin.

When dozens of American cities have become Detroit, Americans will be ready for Palin.

When the U.S. debt, not counting Social Security and Medicare, becomes $33 billion, Americans will be ready for Palin.

Until that time, Americans will just have to be content to hear Palin tell them the truth and point out when they are pursuing mis-guided policies.
