The petition to deport CNN host Piers Morgan for his recent comments on gun control has reached over 49,000 signatures as of this posting, which will force the White House to respond. The petition, created Friday, needed 25,000 signatures within 30 days for the White House to take action and it’s reached far more than that in a mere three days.

In case you missed it, the petition called for Morgan to be deported for his “hostile attack against the U.S. Constitution.” Gun advocates are angry about Morgan’s comments calling for increased gun legislation in America and are accusing him of wanting to “undermine the Bill of Rights.”

It would be a hell of a lot more satisfying to pick a fight with him in a bar in DC and then take it outside. Doubt he’d leave the joint. He’s a pussy.

Piers is pond scum so this is fun but goofy.

Piers Morgan has a free speech right to his opinion as long as he’s not advocating unlawful activity. As a foreigner, Morgan still has a 1st Amendment rights.

You don’t strengthen the Constitutional right to bear arms by eviscerating the Constitutional right to free speech.

The white house doesn’t have to respond. Its not a legitimate process in our form of government.

Its American idol governance and its extremely damaging to our form of government.

But he hasn’t committed a violation against the law. He’s just smarting off. It’s guaranteeing free speech to whoever is in the US. I don’t think you can deport someone for being an idiot.

Not only is it a useless act, it’s a dangerous one that is a goldmine for the Won’s enemy list.

I’m not worried about being on his enemies list but I do agree that its dangerous because it further debases our legitimate means of governance.

Americans react to the Progressive Wallahs' latest fat wad against America.

Department of State issued warnings concerning radical Progressives rampaging and targeting Americans in Progressive countries. Be advised if you are traveling abroad.

If it were possible, the US would be a very underpopulated country.

I agree that it would if anybody actually did anything based on these idiotic “petitions.” When I read you earlier post, the word that came to the front of my mind was “debase.” That’s exactly what is going on here.

It’s the equivalent of passing a law because somebody hollered about it at a political rally. Which I guess is sort of what we have already, come to think of it. Maybe we just don’t want it debased *further.*

Deporting Morgan would not deprive him of his “free speech rights”. He can say whatever he wants. He can even be on CNN. Just not from the USA.
