Dems personalize, Repubs whine
12/28/12 | Vanity

In watching TV the past week, a trend is clear. Harry is savaging Boehner at every turn, calling him a dictator, traitor, friend of the rich, enemy of the "people," and so on. When Boehner makes an infrequent appearance on TV, he talks in generalities, never taking-on Reid or any othert Dem by name. Schumer, Feinstein, Nadler -- the very flower of Dem Party psychotic hatred -- beat-up on Repubs daily, calling them everything from cowards to accomplices to murder. The Repubs? Nothing.

Every kid in my generation learned that you either meet bullies head-on or you become a punching bag for the rest of your life. Repubs are the Party of Punching Bags. How can these losers ever win anything again?

In other news, Feinstein is calling for a ban on all semi-auto firearms. The Repub response? None.

In the world of MMA, if one chooses to be a professional fighter, then one best know how to fight and fight well. If one loses a few too many times, then one will no longer appear on the cards, one cannot earn a living, and then one is done as a professional fighter.

The same is true for professional politicians.

The republicans have demonstrated time after time that they cannot fight.

The only thing they succeed at is advancing the democrat agenda. I cannot recall the GOP advancing the conservative agenda in any way since I was a boy and Reagan was president.

This political party is utterly without consequence.

As much as I agree with you, you’re wasting your breath. If a single solitary conservative voice were to rise up and tell Reid, the O-hole and the rest of the Demonic Party sociopaths to go to hell and begin the process of actually explaining a principally-based plan to improve the country for everyone, the first POS voices against the indiviudal would be from the GOP.

They, along with the Demonic Party and their propogandist media would destroy the person inside of a single news cycle and he/she would be marginalized for the rest of his/her life (unless of course, it is the type of person who could withstand such an unrelenting assault from all sides and somehow counter it with reasoned arguments utilizing alternative means of communication, the likes of which do not currently exist in the numbers or availability that would be needed to reach all of the nation’s idiots).

Repubs have thoroughly absorbed the media’s fake admonition that the American people don’t like “divisiveness”. It’s one-way crap but they’re stupid enough to fall for it.

I don’t know how you can tell this would happen. There is nothing to go by.

We have never had one rise up enough to prove your contention one way or the other. If we put every piece of a testicle together in the whole Republican party we couldn’t come up with one ball.

The ‘Pubs have been punching bags for the ‘Rats going back to the 1930s, when FDR and the ‘Rats hung the blame for the Great Depression around their necks. Republicans are so inured to playing the role of The Gracious Loser that even on those rare occasions where they win, they still play the loser's role. Conversely, win or lose, the ‘Rats always assume the role of winner, and dictate terms and agenda to their assumed inferiors.

..........................................................
That is what you wrote and it is wrong.Certainly she sustained unrelenting and Viscious attacks but they didn’t start with Republicans and in fact many of us ,most of us do like her.

She was attacked by Democrats mostly ,and Republican idiots, who were frightened of her growing strength. Frightened that they might lose their power.

Actually, many Conservative Republicans do indeed get in front of the news media and do exactly that. I have heard them and read them do so over the years. They call out the dems and the libs by name, and attack just as strongly, articulately, and effectively. However, the news media completely ignores and censors these comments - they are never seen on TV, or in print. So no one ever hears them or sees them.

The media is completely controlled from top to bottom by the liberals. They do not permit articulate Conservative views to be aired. Period. Ever. If they do occasionally let such comments slip through, they are highly editted to be very short, or to not make any sense at all. Another tactic, as the poster above pointed out, is that only luke-warm, wimpy defenses by pseudo-”Conservatives” are ever aired. On the other hand, the left is granted FULL access to the airwaves, and is given the most favorable presentation possible. The liberal point of view is given 10 times more air time to articulately rebut anything a Conservative says.

I am not sure what can be done about this. Those who control the media are indeed wealthy and powerful, and all of them seem to be completely left-wing in their orientation (the news media’s portrayal to the contrary). Anytime Conservatives manage to get ANY voice in the media or entertainment industry (talk radio, Washington Times, etc...), they are hounded and minimalized by the dominant majority “powers that be” within the industry and even within the government itself. It is difficult to present one’s point of view when the opposition completely OWNS the microphone and most primary means of communication.

As I said, my experience has shown that there is not a lack of articulate defenders of Conservatism out there, but that they are COMPLETELY prohibitted from having ANY sort of meaningful and consistent access to the most popular forms of mass communication (ie. network and cable TV, large newspapers, and the biggest forms of entertainment - blockbuster movies and TV shows) - and even within the public education system. Yes, one can point to occasional rare and accidental exceptions, but by and large, the other side owns the commuication football - and they have made it very plain that they are not going to share. And their tactics are slowly working.

With the government regulators, huge liberal monied interests, and a sizable chunk of the U.S. population on their side, I am not sure how this can be fixed. Boycots from our side, writing letters, attempts to “organize” via the Internet, and “going around” the media certainly have not worked very well (although that does not mean we should stop trying). Until both sides of the political spectrum can have equal access to the news media and entertainment industry (as well as public education), not much is going to change. Our most articulate Conservative communicators are stuck talking mostly to a small group of dedicated followers who have sought them out on talk radio, certain Web sites (like this one), and a few other (comparatively) limited sources - in other words, people who already agree with them. By and large, the left has stuck us with essentially talking to ourselves, while they have complete and unfettered access to all the mass communcation they want.

The only way any of this could possibly be turned around is if interests from the Conservative side of the fence could somehow obtain ownership of large portions of the media and entertainment industry, and re-staff them with more balanced and fair-minded people. Done legitimately, that would take billions of dollars, and thousands upon thousands of like-minded people. In addition, the entrenched interests on the left would fight such a move tooth and nail, like they have never fought before - and they would employ all of their allies in the governement too (as well as “on the streets”). Hence, it does not seem to me that such a fix is likely in the short term.

However, we need to disavow ourselves of the notion that we are “not doing a good enough job” in presenting our case to the people. That is a smaller part of the problem, but the main problem is the active censorship by the left of all Conservative viewpoints in the mass media. End that censorship, let free communication flow, and in a decade or two, we MIGHT begin to see a change. There is a lot of damage that needs to be undone.

I agree with your post 100%.
I used this as a tagline for a couple months :

When Texas Governor George Bush used the term “Compassionate Conservative” during his Campaign for President, it was over.

That stupid description reinforced every Libtard belief that we Conservatives were everything they thought we were, uncaring - mean - cold hearted - and lacking compassion.

Since we are hated anyway, we might as well fight fire with fire. There is always a chance the Useful Idiots will snap out of their stupor when they hear their heroes being lambasted with facts and a dash of innuendo.
