A 26-year-old man has been charged after police say he fired shots at a pizza delivery guy, after the man claimed the pizza he ordered was too small.
Officers were called around 11:31 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 21 to a residence on the 2100 block of Russell Avenue North. The victim, a 45-year-old man, said he was delivering a pizza to the residence when the customer began arguing with him.
The customer, identified as Demetrius Patterson, of Chicago, IL, said the size of the pizza was too small and demanded the delivery guy give him both of the pizzas he had in his vehicle.
The victim told police he didnt want to argue, so he began to leave.
The delivery guy brought the pizza back to his car, but as he was walking, he said Patterson came out of the home and started firing shots at him.
The pizza delivery guy said he was able to flee in his car and was not injured. He then called police.
Police located Patterson in the apartment of his girlfriend and placed him under arrest. They also located shell casings and a handgun in the apartment.
Patterson was booked into Hennepin County Jail. He has been charged with second-degree assault.
Chicago, Ft.Wayne, Gary....this has been a problem for years in Minneapolis. They come for the higher benefits.
Demetrius just does not sound like a white boy name
Demetrius Patterson: Obliviously a Greek.
A lot of real Amish have their phones out side of their house in little phone booths they built.
Thats getting less and less with cell phones.
You stole my line. Thanks!
Took Place in Minneapolis Minnesota, but the guy was from Chicago.
The contagion spreads in such ways.
In my county, the only murder to occur in the last five years (rural community) was by a dude from Chicago coming here.
I think we should build a wall around Cook County, Illinois.
Been there, done that.
The things you come across late at night in a small college town...
12-gauge or it’s free.
Regular price, ka-boom, ka-boom, ka-boom, ka-boom.
The Chicago Personal ‘Bam’ Pizza.
Yes, I’ll quit now.
Thanks nickcarraway.
While shooting the pizza guy probably isn’t the best way to address this issue, Demetrius does have a point. Pizzas are getting smaller, thinner and less meatier and cheesier. Pizza Hut in particular has really gone downhill as far as the product they now offer.
LOL!
Fox delivery guy just stopped two houses down. He didn’t leave in a hail of bullets, so I guess Fox is still making an acceptable size pizza. :o)

Our phone girls knew what to answer: “oh, that vicinity is under another pizza company. Domino’s, I think. We have different delivery territories and we can’t deliver there.”
This is obviously not a true story. Guns are illegal in Chicago. /sarc
They died of something that doesn’t exist in Chicago and that is firearms...
