Were they made of gold?
My math shows the 55 pots at $3091 dollars each. Same question here.
He did it for the halibut.
Maybe he needed decorations for his Piano.....
For the hake of it.
He did it to the tuna $170,000, holy mackerel that’s a whale of a theft. He really scalloped them.
I have large fire pot that my grandpa had made back when he first married (about 100 years ago). It’s about 30” in diameter and about as deep. It’s made of solid copper in the pot part, folded over a 1” diameter iron top ring and fold-up handle. My grandma used to boil clothes in it, make soap, etc. I always thought you could boil crabs in it, but it sure wouldn’t fit on a stovetop.
The biggest stainless steel ones I can find on the web top out at $300.
Pots were 50 bucks each.mthere was 150,000 in taxes.
Maybe they were more along the lines of this?
