Happy New Year, Everyone!! (vanity poll with a serious question)
observation and curiosity ^ | 1/1/13 | Baynative

It's a two part question:

How was 2012? Do you expect 2013 to be different?

I am asking this because we have beaten up in the past 18 months and don't know of many who haven't. Everywhere we go and almost everyone we talk too has been taking it hard and have nothing optimistic to say about their future.

I'm curious about who has experienced good fortune and had personal successes as well as those who are feeling a bit helpless.

I agree. When the "media" releases its "What's IN/What's OUT" list this year, we're going to see FREEDOM AND LIBERTY on the OUT list.

I too expect things to get worse in 2013. Much worse.
In my opinion, there really ain’t much to look forward to except, family and the few friends I still have.

The country is lost. The socialist now own it and our denial can not change that.

I personally did ok in 12. I’m the exception out of the people I know. I expect 13 to be worse, much worse.

Assume you mean personally?

2012 was a good year.

Biggest bummer: In September, had to euthanize my dear Schnauzer buddy Snoopy, 15 yrs, 4 months. That was VERY hard.

Best news: I adopted a different dog from the Aiken, SC SPCA on October 26. His name is Cooper. Pic. He is a puppy and a mess.

2013, who knows? The world is way more unsettled now than it was at this time last year. I pray for the best and pray for God's blessings on our country.

Happy New Year Freepers!

2012 the year Chief Justice Roberts did the lewinsky for Barry Sorrito... 2013 will be the year he swallows the rest giving him gun control and religion freedom constraints...

2012 was not a box of chocolates for us. 2013? I am sorry to say that I expect 2013 to make 2012 look somewhat good. Don’t even ask me about 2014. I can only focus on one pile of poop at a time.

Cooper is ADORABLE! You can tell by his eyes that he will keep you on his toes. Congratulations on your new doogie.

How was 2012?

It sucked, the most base human nature once again deified it's self, and history repeats.

Do you expect 2013 to be different?

Yes, it will be worse, the entitled savages will continue the rationalization of the extermination of the greedy producers, and laud the ascendancy of the pious slothful.

Thank you. Cooper is very mischievous. But he’s a puppy. Estimated age somewhere between 9 months and 1.5 years.

He’s learning every day and beginning to settle down and adopt to the routine around here. Loves everybody and other dogs. Learns pretty quick. I think he’s gonna be a super friend.

Pardon my bragging :)

my husband and I are 61 and 65. 2012 was the worst year we had emotionally and monetarily since we were in our 20s. We expect 2013 to be worse and wonder which of our children may be willing to take us in someday.

Worse. Far worse. Could be a path to violence and civil war.

Except for all the friends and family that died 2012 was pretty good. Given that my friends and family continue to age I expect 2013 to be about the same.

Your post could have been my own. Same ages and 2012 condition.

Just don’t get too sick, Well, in that case, with Obamacare, you may not need to worry about being taken in by anyone but the grim reaper.

For me, personally, 2012 was not terrible. I am very worried that 2013 or 2014 will be much worse, even for those who are well off. I look at the dwindling availability of ammunition over the past year and wonder what other products will follow that trajectory in the coming years.
