The Republicans Are Officially DEAD To Me I Am Registering Independent Tomorrow
OV

Posted on 01/01/2013 10:01:47 PM PST by OneVike

Ever since the election I have been sitting back to watch what happens during the lame duck session of Congress. I have already accepted the sad fact that the Republicans where not going to do anything about all the illegal activity that took place on election day. I even begrudgingly accept the fact that they will never bring up charges of impeachment against Obama. However, for them to be so afraid of him as too give into this farce of a deal is too much for me to accept.

We all agree that America is no longer the country we grew up to love, fight for, and respect. Heck, every January 1st there are hundreds of thousands of new laws on the books that take a little more of our rights away. Sadly, while telling us to keep the faith because they will stand in the breach to keep us free, the Republican party continually does the opposite by making deals with the Democrats. The Republicans have their DNA all over the very laws they tell us they will stand against, and this fiscal cliff deal is just one more example of their many broken promises.

In my 15 years here, I have done my share of debating many fellow FReepers who thought we should abandon the Republican party. My argument has always been on the side that a third party vote, or even a non vote would only help the Democrats. Well this latest broken promise is the last straw for me. No more. From here on out I will argue for and support a third party.

It is time, hell it's way past time for a revolution that will lead to the replacement of the Republican party.

First thing tomorrow I will officially leave the Republican party.

“Renounce your citizenship and leave the country while you’re at it, genius.”
_______________________________________________

Renouncing citizenship is out of the question, unless you have an alternative, but leaving to escape the USSA is wise and prudent. I did it ten years ago, and there is a groundswell of many following me.
Just check out www.internationalliving.com to see what I am talking about.

Thanks to pubic education and a Marxist media, America is in deep doodoo, and will not recover in my lifetime, if ever.
I knew it as soon as I saw Obumbo reelected.

The Republicans go out of their way to try to please those who will never vote for them in the first place.

Joseph Cao?

And then eventually...John Roberts?

I see them all taking my rights, and some of them trying to convince me that they aren’t at the very same time that they are.

To answer your question, I want them all gone.

I feel like leaving the GOP but hold out.

It is true that the federal GOP stinks to high heaven. It is at the state and the local level that I hold out hope. There has been a lot of change in my state of Michigan. This is due to the local groups over coming the large news organizations. It is still far from perfect but it is getting better.

The biggest problem I see is that to many people are getting bad information from the press and making bad decisions. Till we can overcome the ignorance that is the current media culture we must fight at the local level. It is here where you can make a difference. If you are not in the local GOP how can you expect to get the change that you and I both want. I encourage you to make your views known locally and exercise you right to free speech to counterman the half truths that the media puts out. Intelligent arguments will eventually win but only if you get the message out.

Remember freedom of the press (speech) only matters if you use it. Your only way to get your freedom of press out that I can see is by local participation in local events.

We have a long road to fight on but it is now making fruit in small ways all across the country because of the local elections from the past few years.

I said not long ago that if someone moves against boner the rinos will side with the democrats and either re-elect boner or elect Pelosi. That hasn’t happened yet. But, lots of rinos, including boner, sided with the democrats today.

And all the rinos are going to be hit the same as the dems with the tax increases caused by obamacare. But, they stayed with the GOP so it wouldn’t be split. I’m sure they’re proud. I just hope that eventually they’ll admit they were wrong. I know the liberals will never admit it.

With all this said, the deal passed today is better for me personally than if it had not passed. But it’s worse for my country and the future generations. But you know what? I shouldn’t care because the future generations that I personally know are all in for obama. They’ll be getting what they asked for. And they’ll be giving their children and grandchildren what they did NOT ask for.

Twice as many republicans voted against that bill than for it. We just need to continue cleaning house. And we need to get Bohner out of leadership.

The only time republicans vote against anything is when those votes do not matter as to the actual outcome.

It’s political theater.

The government agenda advances nonetheless.

Maybe if all the fools that stayed home because they hated Romney had just showed up, skipped President and voted for the rest of the offices, we wouldn’t have this problem right now because we’d have majorities in both houses of Congress.

This move of yours is very understandable but there is no viable 3rd party yet. It basically helps the DemocRATs DIVIDE and CONQUER the country. You are abandoning the only thing between us and Armageddon. There should instead be a usurping of power WITHIN the Republican party - new blood, new agendas, new ideas. That, to me seems the only way to take the country back at some point in the future. We must appeal to the changing demographics inside the US in order to get back on track. So, while I understand your move it is, in essence a dropping out of the system.

It is not the news media that runs the country.

They are only a vested asset and they answer to those that foresaw the need to consolidate and control communication.

I’ve looked into Cuenca, Equador and it’s enticing. The problem is my kids....they’re actually dogs. I’M SURE they wouldn’t survive a long trip in the cargo hold. And like I said, they’re our babies. They’re smarter than any human kid I’ve ever had. And a lot more loyal. So that problem stands in my way.

As for not paying taxes, as I understand it you’ll still be taxed unless you totally renounce your citizenship.

Medical treatment is socialized but it’s done effectively. A DR’s appointment its $25 and if you need to see a specialist you see him that day. The yearly fee is somewhere around $400. They’ve been in this business for decades so they’ve worked the kinks out.

I’d go in a heart beat if I could afford a private jet to take me and the dogs in style. Anything to get out of this country beyound killing my pets.

Anyone got any ideals? I’ve thought that with all of the ex-pats moving south someone could start:

PET AIR 4 EX-PATS - Reuniting pets with their ex-pat masters

If anyone knows of some investors who’d like to get a small pet flying kennel business started, get them in touch with me. Seriousl!

I cringe everytime Boehner gets up to speak. I agree that it is time to have a Conservative Speaker not one that goes along to get along. Let us pray for true conservative leadership for the party. This last minute stuff is for the birds. The Republicans should have been more vocal, using language that everyone understands. . . .repeating it over and over and over. “Haste makes waste” and Congress has been hastily wasting the taxpayers hard earned money.

3rd party or no 3rd party. We are NOT going to fix this problem by looking to Washington.

The only way to solve this problem short of civil war is for the states to hold a convention, propose amendments and regain their sovereignty over the federal government.

As little as three constitutional amendments or changes to amendments could completely neuter the federal beast.

- remove the commerce clause

- balanced budget amendment

- eliminate direct election of senators(remove the 17th)

- an amendment strictly limiting government to those specific powers granted in the constitution. This would eliminate nearly every federal bureaucracy in existence.

These are just suggestions but you get the point.

It only takes a couple changes to make this federal beast extinct.

I'm afraid this is our ONLY viable option outside of brutal civil war. We outnumber the left by a huge margin but NOT in Washington. We need to fight this fight on our turf and we must do it while the red states are still red.

Obviously parties have become obsolete...
The vote is becoming corrupt.. maybe already is totally corrupt..

Being a member of a party should be just a mask.. to imply you are a drone..
Should not be long before the death squads start.. IF they haven’t already begun..

Under ground resistance should be being formed..
Alinsky was not kidding, he was as serious as a heart attack..
Any that havn’t read “Rules for radicals is stupid”..
Alinsky disciples are on track and very successful..

Baloney! In this day and age, with the Internet, social media, and other outlets, the GOP should be able to get their message out to enough people to make a dent in the media's choke hold on information delivery. The fact that they cannot just shows how inept they truly are. Or, they are mostly in agreement with the Dems which means they are totally worthless.

I’m way ahead of you. But the main reason I registered as an independent in North Carolina is so I can pick either party’s primary to vote.

I agree. it’s time for all of us to realize..

A vote for a republican is a vote for a democrat. (with very few exceptions)

Might as well vote third party.
