The double standard that shuts down an assault weapons ban
self

Posted on 01/06/2013 11:46:41 AM PST by Djarum

An assault weapons ban that is good enough for the people should be good enough for our government. The Secret Service, Federal Protective Service, U.S. Capitol Police, and all other agencies charged with the protection of elected officials should carry 10 round magazines, and no assault weapons. Most importantly, their response time to acts of violence should be no sooner than 20 minutes, which is how long the children of Sandy Hook had to wait.

The good, honorable members of our government wouldn't accept a level of protection for themselves that they would deny to the most vulnerable members of society. They can prove just how safe an assault weapons ban makes people by passing a bill that requires government officials to accept the same level of protection that is available to our schools.

We wouldn't want to teach our children that some people are more equal or deserving than others. We wouldn't want kids to think that a police officer can be trusted to use assault weapons, but their parents can't be. We're not the kind of society that enforces inequality, are we?

Django.WhiteHut.gov Petition: Establish gun-free zone around pResident (15,320 signatures so far)

9,429 more to go. More than 60% there.

If gun-free zones are good enough for our children, they should be good enough for our feral government overlords.

How can we sit by while our government buildings have better protection than our schools? While our hypocritical politicians and Hollywood siclophants conceal carry or have personel security all while passing laws to restrict the people they serve.

Logic and reality don’t apply to gov’t.

Allowing government officials to have something people badly want while at the same time keeping the people from having it creates a dangerous situation.

It seems at some point the people may start taking that thing from government officials.

That is if you are assuming that their motive is to stop
gun violence. It’s not. They simply want to disarm the
people. After that is accomplished, nothing stands in their
way of their ultimate goal. Overthrow of the U.S.A. and
one world government. There is no way they will ever disarm
themselves or practice what they preach.

It’s the same double standard that allowed them to exempt themselves from obamacare.

obamacare isn’t good enough for them but fine for the peasants.

Tyranny will follow disarmament. The line is drawn.

Phony "right" to have an abortion on demand, free, not in the constitution.

Real "right" to own and bear arms, IS in the constitution.

Question: Where is my free gun?
