Married people are THREE times more likely to survive middle age

Being married could be the key to a longer life—by improving your chances of surviving middle age, claim scientists.

People who never married were almost three times as likely to die early than those who had been in a stable marriage throughout their adult life, US researchers found.

The new research suggests for the first time that not having a spouse in midlife increases the risk of dying during those years.

Being single after 40, or losing a partner without marrying again, increased the risk of early death during middle age and cut the chances of getting to 60.

Even when personality and risky behaviors such as smoking and drinking were accounted for, married people were still 2.3 times more likely to survive. …

No, proper application of domestic violence law is that you were clearly guilty of interferring with her hobby of innocent knife swinging!
Lucky you were’t charged.

If I hadn't dumped my ex in mid-life, one of us would be dead right now and the other would be in jail for it.

I love being single. If someone in the room is talking and I don't like what I hear, I just hit the mute button. Problem solved!

If I was as drunk as SHE was, I would be sittin' on Death Row (Texas, ya know), for Felony Theft, Enhanced, for stealing her knife. She keeps comming back for it because it's all STEEL, Balanced, and she apparently wants to STAB someone more Drunk than I was. Did I mention the PASSION???!!!????

I lost my wife when I was 48 and turn 60 this year. I tried dating but after her it was hard for me to meet other women that are half the woman she was. Dating women at this age is not worth the effort. Death will be a welcome rest and I fear it not.

I lost my beloved wife when I was 52 and I lived eight miserable years until G-d brought a lovely lady into my life and we will soon be married three years. BTW she is the same age my first wife would have been.

Marriage blessed by the Lord does absolutely contribute to longevity. At least I can wake up & look forward to each day.

Single people don’t live a shorter time, married people just find that life seems interminable. ;’)
