Personally I dont need to forgive him since he didnt do anything to offend or harm me. If i can take a drug and then ride a bike like he can then sign me up.
Pro sports, including any “amateur” televised sports, is a tool to hypnotize the society. I can’t bring myself to find this even as important as American Idol.
The guy’s a piece of work, just like the promoters.

If it were just the doping, I wouldn’t have been so harsh, as nearly everyone in sports does it, and it would take a superhuman to resist the pressure and temptation.
No, that wasn’t it at all. It was the phony “cancer talk”, the sanctimony, the hero-worship, the yellow armbands, the lies, the deception, the bullying of his fellow teammates, and the emotional blackmail that I resent.
I have to be more forgiving, I guess, but this really burns my toast.

Many people affect a cheap and easy nonchalance concerning political corruption, probably in the misplaced belief that they will appear sophisticated when they say, "they all do it." One cannot spend any time in New York without meeting this culture.
Why is it the business of the federal government that players took bribes in the Black Sox scandal? Government was at that time about to venture into prohibition and unleash massive corruption throughout the whole country. Today we tolerate a scale of corruption over drugs unimagined in the years after 1919. But no matter, the integrity of baseball was restored so that he could go on unimpeded for another generation practicing apartheid.
Why do we conduct highly visible public hearings about the private use of steroids by baseball players and then try them for lying to a body of Congress, a body which lies to us everyday?
Perhaps it is time to worry less about bread and circuses and more about what really matters.
Another irrelevant story. Keep in mind the genitally mutilated (transgender) freaks receive a lifetime of steroids to keep them happy.
