'You have got to fix yourself up - look pretty, look alert:' Christian conservative T.V. host Pat Robertson blames 'awful-looking' women for failed marriages
If your husband isn't paying attention to you, it's probably because you don't look 'pretty' and 'alert,' according to evangelical talk show host Pat Robertson.
At least that's what Robertson told his viewers recently, using an anecdote from a fellow preacher to illustrate his point.
'A woman came to a preacher I know — it’s so funny,' said Robertson, host of the 700 Club. 'She was awful-looking. Her hair was all torn up, she was overweight and looked terrible, clothes bad and everything, and she said, "Oh Reverend, what can I do? My husband has started to drink."

Many failed marriages are because women in the workplace meet new men and have a problem keeping their pants up.
Pat Robertson should have shut up a long time ago...and so should Billy Graham.
The older these 2 get, the more their views deviate from the Word of God.
Marriage has always been more than just a two way street and it's gotten harder, not easier.
In our devil's playground world, where temptations, sex, acceptable promiscuity and disrespect for marital vows come at us from every angle 24/7, husbands and wives have to each work a bit harder on themselves and their marriage to keep their marriage.

oh what a bunch of poop. i have known some gorgeous women whose husbands have cheated on them. and what about the men who have let themselves go? that seems more the norm. i guess women have to look beautiful all of the time, even when they are scrubbing the toilets but men can look like huge, beer gut jaba the huts and its all good
I think the failure of my first marriage may have had something to do with the fact that she is a domineering fuc*ing bitch. Not sure a little more eye shadow would have helped.. :-)
Pat is a dinosaur and he embarrasses himself. Problems like that can be evenly distributed between both spouses. It isn’t that his points are necessarily wrong but they are so shallow. This isn’t his first occasion for diarrhea of the mouth.
About 30 years ago, Taki wrote an essay in the American Spectator in which he declared that feminists were ugly women that men did not want to f%#*. He was right.

Agree. Women’s lib is why the family fell apart. Total assault on the basic building block of our society from leftists. Now we have majority bastard babies, crime, etc. etc.
