‘The Walking Dead’: New Video Trailer
inquisitr ^

"The Walking Dead new video trailer shows things will be heating up in Woodbury when Season 3 resumes. The second part of Season 3 airs on February 10. A brewing war between Rick’s group and The Governor is expected to come to a head very quickly, if Walking Dead spoiler alerts are accurate.

As all die-hard TWD fans recall, the first half of Season 3 cliffhanger ended with Daryl and Merle Dixon’s lives hanging in the balance. The Walking Dead videos previously released show Andrea standing up to The Governor and trying to get her new lover to spare her old pal’s life. The new Walking Dead preview video shows The Governor telling the Dixon brothers that the must fight to the death inside the Woodbury arena. Even crusty old Merle is unlikely to turn on his own brother. Beneath the poor grammar and redneck swagger, there just might be a heart beating beneath the one-handed man’s cleaned dirty shirt."

They ran that “Eye for an eye” promo recently. Makes me wonder if Carl is going to be killed in the imminent war, possibly by the Governor himself.

I hope not.

Carl has 'manned up' several times this season. He is becoming one of my favorites of the bunch.

And he's adorable wearing his Daddy's big hat. LoL.

Crackle.com is running an original series that is pretty good — Chosen.

Each of the 6 episodes is about 22 minutes.

Have you been following “Last Resort”? That’s been pretty good but they’ve been ruining it with the “I’m for you”, “I’m against you”, wishy washy allegiances of the senior officers to Marcus Chaplain.........

I watched the first 4 episodes and saw where it was going. Quit after that. switched to Duck Dynasty

I missed the first season.

If you have Comcast, I think it's available for free via the On Demand feature. Just check out the TV series they offer........

OK I'm sorry but it's Catherine of Aragon's fault because she started me watching these videos....I know you've had enough of Hitler' reactions to this and that but here's " Hitler Reacts to Shane's Death on The Walking Dead"....... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8uYggIdZ7O0...I'm truly sorry I can't help it....

"Yeah I’m not a zombie fan but I love the show with its post apocalyptic survival theme."

That is the beauty of this show. Its not really a ZOMBIE flick/tv show. Instead it is a well written superbly acted and filmed DRAMA that has zombies in it.

You could take the zombies out entirely and have some other reason for the end of the world and it would still be a very good show. Though the constant pressure of avoiding the zombies give the show its harsh edge!

The real secret though is the characters and the conflict they provide. First rule of any good story, "no conflict = no story" if you don't place your characters in the crucible you got two things "jack and shit".

The Writers of the Walking Dead do not rely on the Zombies to provide the conflict they are just an obstacle that must be dealt with. The REAL conflict comes from the characters and how they deal with each other while trying to survive. And, the characters are well-rounded and superbly portrayed.

I have never watched the show. How far back must I go to not be completely lost trying to watch the new shows?

Back to the beginning of season 2, I’d say, although season 1 is only six episodes, so it’s not a tremendous additional time investment.

If you have Netflix or possibly AMC-on demand (may even be on the AMC website), you probably should watch episode 1-2 of season 1 to understand the 'beginning' of the storyline.

After than, you could possibly skip ahead to this season and start with episode 1.

Since the 'seasons' are shorter than regular network TV, there are fewer episodes per season.

Well you can go back to espisode 1 on the beginning to understand how all this got started and get acquainted with the characters. Then view last season on youtube to get a picture of what is going on. Like with me I love the Sons of Anarchy but I missed the beginning so I went back a few shows to understand what is going on. Can’t wait for Season 6. So when the Walking Dead was to premiere I did not allow myself to miss it. There are some episodes already on youtube already to get your fingers wet on the characters.

You could get away with watching Season 2 and leaving it at that. But Season 1, as another Freeper posted, is short, and I think it was very good. You’ll get all the background that way, and you’ll be able to see how various characters have changed/developed.

Watch all of them you can!

You have internet so sign up for a free month of Netflix (if you don't already have it.) they have the first two seasons. (6 shows first season 13 2nd season) The show is literally the best thing on TV.

Anyone else worried that the show has jumped the shark? I found myself a little bored by the new episode on Sunday. Too much talking when they left Woodbury trying to decide what to do with Meryl, I mean they stood there by the woods for half an hour and no walkers even showed up? And it seemed like the walkers in the fields by the prison are just an afterthought now.

I love the show and how in reality it portrays how it will be when the shtf (other people will be your biggest threat to survival), but I just don’t see where this season is going?? And how can Darryl leave the group? SMH
