“They” are picking this fight.

As arrogant as “they” are, I am sure “they” will fire the first shot, God forbid.

[[Yes, if we launch a massive ground campaign to retake the senate in 2014 through electing Tea Party conservatives]]

Who’s going to do that? All the conservatives who sat hoem and allowed his highness to get another 4 years to party on america’s dime? Those folks? We just had the MOST IMPORTANT election Ever perhaps, and even the importance of kickign out a nation destroying socialist anti-American wasn’t enough to stir the right to get off their couches and go out and vote- I don’t see them motivating more during a 1/2 term election for underlings-

Same with me, and why I have no intention of returning.
I agree that the America that we know is gone.
The proof is that Obumbo was reelected...yes, probably by fraud, but that is the way it is.
You now have a majority population that has no clue or education about a life in a Marxist/Leninist society.
Education and the media will remain in the hands of the Commies.

I was born and raised in the South. Well over half a million men were killed in the Civil War; so think about it hard. “Reconstruction” was a bitch as well; so think about it real hard and see if ya’ll are still keen on it. - My great great grandfather was a Confederate soldier, fought at Shiloh among other places. I grew up with my parents taking me to the Shiloh memorial battleground back at a time when the Bloody Pond there was still actually bloody in color. - I’m old enough, and had enough family that was affected by that war to think it through before committing. Oh, and, needless to say, Lincoln wasn’t too highly revered in my family.

A constitutional convention would be the end of America as a free republic.

Thats my thought. It would be a disaster to let the evil goats that control everything have a CC.

They have come so far so fast. To actually label old white men and vets as possible terrorists.

I dunno about everyone else but I feel as if the bomb will be dropped anyday now. It might be a comet or asteroid or they might break out the scaler beam and destroy hoover dam. Maybe a off shore nuke or three.

They most certainly spend and act like they know something we don’t.

I believe the time has come, that for each county throughout each of the states, that county Tea Party should convene and choose 2 representatives to attend a Tea Party convention of their state, which will in turn debate and then consider and elect 2 representatives of their state, to attend a unique Tea Party national convention for the purpose of establishing a Second Continental Congress.

Setting the time and place for a first setting of the Second Continental Congress, then the unique national convention shall adjourn, and the representatives return to their states, where the Tea Party conventions of each state, will then take into consideration, who shall be their 2 representatives in the Second Continental Congress.

I believe, it is time to follow in the steps of our Founding Fathers, and create a new ship of state, to which our allegiance and love of our worthy American heritage and many foundations, shall transfer.

I believe, that *everybody* needs to see this preparation and action.

If the existing federal government fails us and takes one more step toward tyranny on which it has proven to be hell-bent, then we know, as Benjamin Franklin et al knew, it is time.

We must have a new democratic-republic to be where people can again be free from government tyranny, and we must, thru starting with a Second Continental Congress, make a good government, which will very likely be framed as the first but with a few refinements regarding how we may better limit government and that includes the courts.

There’s nothing wrong with the Constitution. It just needs to be followed.

There are areas of Constitutional language that are insufficiently specific. For example, both the Necessary and Proper Clause and the General Welfare Clause are used as one-size-fits-all excuses to have infinite government. Even worse, the Constitution does not limit government spending. Those who wrote and ratified that document didn’t know about the Keynesian theory that proposes infinite and perpetual debt, by which every citizen can be put in serfdom or tax-servitude.

See Randy Barnett’s articles in Forbes on this topic:

Trust me you do not want a Con Con in the current political climate. Its a really bad idea. There is nothing inherently wrong with the Constitution.

The states have the power to reign in the Federal govt they have just stopped using it. Now you are witnessing a resurgence of the states exerting their rights. It will ramp up as the economic picture worsens and the Progressives push the envelope with guns etc.

I agree a Constitutional Convention is a bad idea. I have always thought if the 17th amendment were repealed by two thirds of the states and Senators were appointed by the state legislatures again then the senators would be state advocates vice statesmen like McCain and Kerry. I mean statesmen in the way they are self important knuckleheads who run rough shod over states rights.
