Perhaps you are the one that has been hacked.

I got a similar warning - it refers me to a "Google Safe Browsing" page. Or I can ignore the warning. Here is the Google Report.

Always a possibility but why just the one website?

No facebook(ever), overall I’m pretty anonymous compared to most.

Interesting - that diagnostic report contains this:

2 domain(s) appear to be functioning as intermediaries for distributing malware to visitors of this site, including googletagservices.com/, googleadservices.com/.

Looks like somebody hacked the ADs that Breitbart is using. It's GOOGLE who is spreading the crap (not voluntarily, probably).

Brietbart allows people to put links in that aren’t safe. Just as Free Republic does until someone complains.

In the “Google report,” notice how what entities were the intermediaries for the evil? It was Google itself!!

People, ignore this. Heck, I’m tempted to head to DemocraticU to put the same malicious links there so that Google bans those fruitcakes from the Internet. :-)

Always a possibility but why just the one website?

In my opinion, it's OpenX.org that has been hacked, or else they are serving up an advertisement that has malware in it.

My guess is that anyone who receives that ad via OpenX is vulnerable, not just Brietbart.

WIth consumer tracking being what it is, it could be a malware targeting conservatives.

Google has been doing this systematically to conservative sites, including mine (Nachumlist). Eventually they take it off after they make the site owners jump through some hoops, but it is a Obamatron dirty trick just the same.

A partial list of recent 4 Google attacks:

Ammoland

Breitbart

The Daily Caller

Nachumlist

From:

http://blog.sucuri.net/2011/01/openx-org-serving-malware.html

OpenX.org serving malware?

We are tracking a few sites that are currently blacklisted and showing a warning from Google that openx.org (home of a popular open source ad server) is the site responsible for the infection:

“2 domain(s) appear to be functioning as intermediaries for distributing malware to visitors of this site, including openx.org/.”

By looking at the diagnostic page for openx.org itself, it shows:

“Has this site acted as an intermediary resulting in further distribution of malware?

Over the past 90 days, openx.org appeared to function as an intermediary for the infection of 82 site(s) including solovenezolanas.com/, thelocal.de/, drtuber.com/.”

We are still tracking to see which ads are causing the issue, or if the openx servers themselves are compromised. If you include the tracking code from openx.org, we recommend that you check to see if there isn’t any malicious code being pushed to your users.

I have Breitbart on my Bookmarks bar and never had a problem. Just tried and, sure enough, Google messes with it. I clicked the "Advanced" link, then the "Proceed at your own risk" link, and got to Breitbart.

My AV (Panda) gave no error. I'm updating Chrom now, and if I get the error again, I'll file a problem woth Google (not that it matters - they don't listen at all, or care. Last update I got, I can no longer watch videos in 1920 x 1080 without severe stuttering, and they have yet to fix that. IE8 still runs HD videos with no stutter.)

Interestingly - I can visit Brietbart.com with no issues using Firefox.

But with Safari - I get the red safe browsing box from Google. From what I have been told - browsers that do pre-searching from the URL box as you type, are constantly sending queries to Google - and this is what causes it to get hung up - when Google screws up.

I received the same warning and also one for FR when I came back from Breitbart. Leftists are apparently making false reports.

Yep, Firefox is blocking it as a malware site. Avast, however, doesn’t see a problem.
