Abortion clinics in Minnesota and Michigan close

MINNEAPOLIS, February 6, 2013, (Operation Rescue) — Operation Rescue has been notified that two abortion clinics -- Womancare in Livonia, Michigan, and Whole Women’s Health on Fifth Street in Minneapolis -- have closed.

These are the third and fourth abortion clinics to close so far in 2013.

Debra Braun of Pro-Life Action Ministries has confirmed the closing of the Minneapolis abortion business. This brings the number of surgical abortion clinics down to 652, from a high of 2,176 in 1991.

Whole Women’s Health, an abortion chain headquartered in Texas, took over operations of the failed Midwest Health Center for Women, located at 33 South 5th Street in Minneapolis, in February, 2012. The chain later assumed control of another failed abortion business, Meadowbrook Women’s Clinic, located at 825 South 8th Street in Minneapolis.

Whole Women’s Health operated both clinics while it remodeled the 8th Street location. After the building was repaired, Whole Women’s Health closed the 5th Street office last month.

“With the number of abortions dropping in Minnesota, it is obvious that Whole Women’s Health could not financially continue to operate two locations. It is good news when an abortion clinic closes for lack of business,” said Troy Newman, President of Operation Rescue and Pro-Life Nation.

Whole Women’s Health has a checkered history. In Texas, its clinics in Austin and McAllen, were caught during an undercover investigation by Operation Rescue illegally dumping the remains of aborted babies in open and overflowing trash dumpsters. Together with Stericycle, the chain’s medical waste disposal company, the abortion clinics were fined a total of $83,000.

In addition, Operation Rescue filed complaints against several abortionists associated with Whole Women’s Health to the Texas Medical Board, resulting in eight of those abortionistsfacing Board discipline for numerous allegations, including the illegal dumping of private patient medical records, HIPAA violations, and violations of the Texas informed consent laws.

Several WWH abortionists have previous disciplinary histories, including one who was responsible for a patient death.

Also closing is Womancare, in Livonia, Michigan due to the retirement of it’s notorious owner, Alberto Hodari.

“Every time an abortion clinic closes, babies’ lives are saved and women are spared injury and death. Each closure is a victory that brings us closer to the day when all abortion will finally end in America,” said Newman.

I have the feeling that when the Obamacare “Neighborhood Health Clinics” finally open they will all be doing abortions.

We just had two close in Upper East TN: Volunteer Women's Medial Clinic in Knoxville, and Dr. E.E. Perry in Elizabethton. Both because of a new state law stating that the abortionist had to have in-county hospital admitting privileges and no hospital wanted to do that. Plus Perry's old, like in his 80's, and didn't want the hassle.

I do pray he will repent before he dies. I really do.

Now gearing up for the 40 Days Vigil at Regional Women's Health in Bristol TN, the only abortionist within 60 miles.

I hope there actually is a reduction in total abortions and not merely a shift from surgical abortions to chemical abortions.

So...I’m guessing here that the operator of the clinic(s) couldn’t find a way around the impropriety of their clients using an EBT card for the abortion.....

Maybe so but I doubt it ,, RU486 is manufactured in China and is only $10 a pill in quantity ,, PP charges the same for that pill as for a surgical abortion .. what I think is happening is that PP , which gets about $1000 in federal subsidy money for each abortion has simply kept a lid on retail pricing and that is forcing the weak players in the business to close.

Several abortion clinics have had to close do to this. Makes me wonder how hard it is to get hospital admitting privileges? I can understand hospitals not wanting to grant them too. Gibbs rule #45 Clean up your own mess!

They could try but where are they going to find the doctors to do this? Very few “want” to do this. The ones who really want to are only doing it for the money, cash money only, and that is in the private industry. How much do you think obozocare will want to pay for each abortion? Not like the private sector of abortion that would pay thousands.

All the more reason to educate minds and to foster softened hearts!

I am thrilled that I am in a position to share pro-life info with many youths. I was able to share yesterday with a girl who was on the fence about abortion. I shared with her many pro-life websites, and told about Planned Parenthood protecting sexual predators, its origins in eugenics, lying about prenatal development, its coverup of Tonya Reaves’ death and that some babies are born alive after abortions and set aside. Clearly, this was brand new information to her given her facial expressions. I was glad to share brochures which I purchased from Heritage House 76 and Human Life Alliance. This is a generation that needs information which they obviously are not getting.
