Just for fun, here's a live web cam feed of Phoebe the Hummingbird refurbishing her 'half golf ball sized' nest, soon to house her new clutch of babies!
Phoebe recently gave birth to 'Sandy' and 'Faith'. They both fledged just last week. Amazingly, Phoebe is already preparing another nest for a new clutch!
You can learn more about Phoebe, her habits and her remarkable abilities and history as a mom at the Ustream link provided.
It is impossible to visit this web cam page and NOT get hooked. Watch the miracle unfold as Phoebe diligently prepares her nest, lays her eggs and so attentively raises a new set of babies. Phoebe is an incredible creature!
OK, so the one adult flew off and is now back with some dead animal, not sure what. Is this the momma or the daddy? I thought the males would look like this, but I have a lot of learning to do. Are the females as beautifully colored as this one?
This video shows the size of a bald eagle compared to a cat: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EdJqzVQEgIQ
As you can see, there's no shortage of bald eagles (and ospreys too): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UZJKmPa42PM

GOD BLESS AMERICA!
One of my favorite nests is the Maine cam. I made a video ( Christian) from that nest 4 years ago with the mama Eagle
I'll send links in a separate post. Can't seem to get them to work otherwise. :-(
Ozzie is the designated provider of food, but if he's having a slow day of fishing, Harriet will take it upon herself to go out and get a fish or road kill, etc.. She has done that a few times.
That looks like dad on nest right now feeding in Florida.
Dad is smaller. They both look alike. White heads. Babies don’t get their white heads for 5 years. They mate usually for life.

my video made in 2008. ( Christian song and Maine eagle visit)
Lots of resources and info on the Window of Wildlife...
Unlike most birds, bald eagle females are marked nearly identical to the males. Males being more ‘showy’ does not apply here.
BookMark!
Thank You Lord, for blessings without number :)
