Watching live coverage of local TV news. Chopper pilot reports that he was "ordered" to stop showing the area of the search for Christopher Dorner.
I didn't know that was possible.
I’m sure you’ll find justification for this abuse of power, by the authorities, buried somewhere in the Affordable Healthcare Act.
Yeah I saw that..maybe they think he is possibly watching coverage of what is going on..I dont believe he is still in Big Bear.he is a nut but a very intelligent one..he probably stole someone elses car and is long gone
Well considering that now a days there are so many ways for someone to access TV on a portable device, let alone just watching TV, I can see where they would not want to have the suspect see what they are doing. As far as ordering the helicopter to stop showing the area, I guess if they did not comply the police could have forced them to leave the area. When lives are at stake I think the press should back off.
Do they think that the perp is watching TV or is there some type of cover-up in progress?
Interference in the duties of LEO has always been illegal.
The really don’t need the news helicopter giving this guy tactical information.
Good thing! the chopper would just get in the flight path of the Reaper in the area? Didnt the WH just defend it’s use against anyone who takes up arms against the govt? And this dude shot a few cops, so, obviously, Obama green lighted his a$$ for a Reaper?
I don’t know if he’s long gone. Given that he’ll be a folk hero to some people in LA I’m sure he can find a safe place to stay somewhere in Compton, Watts, or even East LA.
Or maybe even Malibu or Hollywood.

You can watch Tv on your smartphone. You might also have a friend watching TV and sending messages to you.

Put yourself in his shoes, wouldn't you be watching the coverage by the MSM that is prone to broadcasting every move law enforcement makes?

All those choppers get in the way of the drone that Zero authorized to kill US citizens. I really don’t have a problem with that, if they are turncoats or killers like this guy go for it.

Was a prior request ignored? I certainly don’t trust the media who is more than willing to risk the lives of others to make a buck on their “news” reporting.
