How Google Earth Owns North Korea
8 minute long video of targets being pointed out over North Korea on Google Earth. All military targets. Highly advanced Google satellites positioned over North Korea took high definition pictures of military bases and areas. There are a large number of the vehicles that are older soviet-cold war era jets and planes that are still in service with the NK airforce. Many of these pictures range from 2010-2013. It takes Google multiple years to take pictures of every part of a country and put it together to make one entire image.

I do know that Google is not very current on its overhead shots, as my old van I got rid of a year and a half ago is still showing - but disappears when going to StreetView. I have no doubt that some of these NK shots are planted for misdirection.
Volunteers have been scouring those satellite images and have identified thousands of buildings and sites across the country and putting them on Google Earth I think
Wait till they get back the StreetView photos of Nother Korea from their ground level Googlemobiles.
It certainly doesn’t look like many of those jets are in flyable condition.
Don’t know how current those images are but if they are current, where in the world do the norks get the cash for all those jets? There’s fighters all over NK. It makes you think NK is one huge armed camp.
NK has a “military first” policy, they spend very little on anything else. How many of those planes are still able to fly? who knows but they will keep them as distractions to any enemy who has to expend manpower and time to hit them.
Note in the interests of accuracy that Google satellites are not “positioned” over North Korea, the “pass” or “travel” over North Korea.
Satellites can only be “positioned” over a point on the equator.
Also, I don’t know if Google actually owns the satellites or pays another company for the images
well the ‘LOOKS LIKE A-10s” look more like IL-28 BEAGLEs which i’m surprised can still fly. probably have to crash one to get spare parts.

Kind of cool. I looked at NK through http://maps.google.com and some of the roads are starting to finally show up.
Another fun thing to do on Google Earth is go to North Korean cities and look for cars on the roads.
It is. Most of the existing artillery in the entire world is on the NK side of the DMZ pointed at Seoul and other towns in the south.

Good point Lonesome, it reminds me of the Soviet Unions May day parades, where they had all the weapons on display.
Years later we learned that most of the weapons were highly designed cardboard and wood mocks.
So, like you, I wonder how many of those planes and boats are wooden replicas to make it look like they are highly armed.
After all, N.K. is in such a financial wreck that their actual worth makes Greece look like the Saudi’s royal family.
The satellite photos we have can only give so much definition, and even the highly technical photos we had of the Soviet Unions cardboard replicas fooled us.
Just sayins is all, it’s food for thought.
