It truly is a horrific ailment. I pray they find a treatment soon to improve the lives of those who are born.

They might be wrong about the diagnosis. It might also be God’s will and you should not be circumventing that.

Here’s a wrong answer!
The Doc’s get it WRONG, a LOT!
I worked with a couple who received such a diagnosis and the husband wanted to terminate and the wife refused.
The baby girl was born PERFECT!
How would you like to be THAT dad?!?!?

When it comes to continuing or terminating a pregnancy with Down syndrome, I believe there is no right answer. Toss a coin - murder a baby.

Is a Down's Syndrome child a human being? Yes.
Is is wrong to kill an innocent human being, including an unborn one? Yes.
Is it wrong to kill an unborn Down's Syndrome child?
I think the answer is crystal clear.

We were faced with this situation. My wife got an amniocentesis. The genetic testing was fast and covered by our insurance. It was 100% accurate. If you are pre screened, that’s good. Get screened before you do something stupid.

There is no justification for murder regardless of the mental or physical state of the baby. If it is alright to kill the unborn for such a reason, why not kill a child who is already born or even an adult? Why even limit it to those born with such a condition? Why not extend it those who become physically or mentally disabled at a later time in their life?

But amniocentesis cannot tell you the degree to which the child's intellect will be impacted by the condition, except that if the child is mosaic Down Syndrome the probability that he will suffer severe cognitive problems is greatly reduced.

There are some instances of severe cognitive disability, but they are relatively rare. The lives of those with Down Syndrome have already been
dramatically improved over the course of the last 100 years.

WOW! This woman has managed to justify murdering one of her children “for the children”. How...expected.
Typical liberal relativity speak.

If that’s the case, then sorry, game over lady. Just look up CSCOPE if you live in Texas and you’ll see why.

Am learning a lot about all of this testing. Seems they find more and more genetic “disorders” that we can decide whether or not to terminate. (kill). They find an errant gene somewhere in the mix and boom ...you’re on the kill list. They are trying REALLY hard to find it with autism, but so far the’ve been unsuccessful. Once they are, though ...on the kill list for sure. Makes me sick.
I know raising these children is hard — but why not just try harder to improve their lives, rather than ending them? Same goes for ALL children who someone else decides will be a “burden” to someone.
Death always seems the knee jerk option to these ghouls.

Murderers! 9 out of 10? God requires justice for all of them. Who’s going to the be the focus of His anger?

So it’s self-righteous to appose murder now? You’ve captured the zeitgeist quite well.
