Brookline Brookline resident Colin Stokes started to see a trend when he sat down to watch kids movies with his daughter and son.
Namely, he focused on the messages from the films about what it meant to be a man. Male protagonists are generally focused on defeating the villain and getting their reward, most commonly a female character. Conversely, female characters are many times underrepresented or shown as damsels in distress.

Author Ignacio Laguarda does not have enough real important work to fill his time....so he does this kind of “feeling” crud to enhance the war between the two genders.
Humans are rapidly losing traits necessary for real world survival. This fool would have a hard time making it outside a big city.
In many of the films I see today, woman are equal to men when they engage in martial arts. If it happens in the movies, it must be true...
Has this guy never watched the Disney channel?
Growing up my boys always had access to the Disney channel. They never watched it. Nothing there for boys.
this fool would have a hard time surviving in any reality.
NYC effete
He probably felt ashamed and emasculated by one of the few programs that shows a male character exhibiting masculinity and bravery.
This guy couldn’t defend the fuzzy end of a q tip.
Big cities exist in an artificial alternate reality, it’s the reason Thomas Jefferson was so concerned about urban political influence.
Re the martial arts thing, I hear what you’re saying. It’s just another example of Hollywood unreality.
If you watch practice in a dojo, you can see young women throwing beautiful kicks executed with perfect form and significant force into the exact center of the kick pad being held by male instructors.
The women bounce off, the instructors pretty much don’t move. That doesn’t mean that a woman can’t beat a man if she takes him totally by surprise, doesn’t miss her exact target and follows up with more strikes before he has time to recover and land a blow. Also, if she can land a debilitating blow, she can finish him or get away.
It’s still a very good idea for a woman to train because she CAN take an attacker by surprise and win or get away, but in a real situation full-contact fight between trained opponents the guy will almost always come out on top.
I try to stick to the technical TED talks. The rest are mostly just a bunch of silly wild eyed liberal rants.
don’t know if still true, they had a deviant in charge of the xd chnnel and his task was to make it boy friendly...
Dosney bought marvel because the know they have a problem then.
Translation:
"I live and work in Brookline Massachusetts which is one of the most liberal cities in the country, full of leftists, feminists, and lesbians. I am trying to get some attention, respect, and maybe even a little, uh "action" from the women around me. So I spout this nonsense. I hope the "heroic and powerful wife" line gets me an extra large slice of coffee cake tomorrow, usually I only get some locally grown organic whole grain oatmeal with non-fat milk."
Apparently his “kids’ movie” choices were selective, ignoring all those where the male character is a bumbling idiot who the female lead is determined to rescue from himself.
