And here I am feeling guilty about using liberal lashings of tobasco at 69c the bottle.
Filberts not hazelnuts, FTW
Nutella eaters remind me of poodle fanciers.
I love the stuff. It is absolutely wonderful on graham crackers.
“Nutella eaters remind me of poodle fanciers.”
I love Nutella and pugs... does that count? :)
The pugs sit still when you are spreading the Nutella on them? How many can you eat at one sitting?
LOL.
As many as you want unless one gets stuck to the roof of your mouth.
Chocolate & hazelnut might be possibly the most divine flavor combination ever invented...LOL!
I have been buying it for years when the lonesome, dusty jars were idling on the shelf. However, you can pin its new-found popularity on Giada from the Food Network. Her family is Italian and she has used it often in her recipes. They must have noticed an uptick in their sales, because a couple of years ago they started advertising in the US, and voila!
It’s become so popular that JIF recently came out with a version...so I think it’s here to stay.
I tried the stuff and it is OK. For some strange reason I associate nutella with yodeling.
Oh, forgot to add...it probably helps that Giada improved the image of the product by using the Italian pronunciation:
New-TELL-uh (with an Italian accent)...sounds a bit more exotic than the alternative...LOL!
I knew a girl who kept a tiny little bottle of Tabasco in her purse...she sprinkled it on everything she ate.... I was always amazed at it.
I have a small bottle of “mocha cappuccino” made by Jif. It has hazelnuts and chocolate flavor. The stuff is awful. This 14.1 oz bottle has been sitting around for a year, while we have gone through a dozen bottles of Jif peanut butter bigger in size in the same time. The “mocha” stuff has sugar as 1st ingredient. That makes it eminently unhealthy. And only 2 grams of protein in a serving of 2 tbsp with 21 grams of sugar. Whereas peanut butter has 3 gm of sugar and 7 gm of protein.
Stick with the peanut butter.
I think it tastes horrible. I bought a jar and tasted it, thankfully my SILs grandson liked it, I offered it to several people who wouldn’t take it.
You know what’s good is the honey roasted peanut butter, YUM, but I like peanut butter and marshmallow cream too.
I have a granddaughter who won’t touch peanut butter—never would—but who loves Nutella. Go figure.
I could go for that! Honey just has a better taste than sugar. I am a regular customer of Honey flavored Greek yogurt.
No it is Hazelnuts. I have eaten the stuff for years and I just double checked a jar to be sure.
