Ralph Fiennes as the new "M" should be interesting. The actor that portrayed "Q" i find quirky but amusing as well. I look forward to him coming back .(unless, of course the BBC hires him as the next "Doctor Who")

PC or not, she’s OK with me. And Daniel Craig is the only Bond I’ve liked since the original.

Yeah, they did. But on the other hand they did a good job of re-creating the sexual tension between Bond and Moneypenny that was there in previous incarnations of the characters. It's also kinda cool to know Moneypenny is capable of being a bit of a badass in her own right, rather than a glorified secretary. Naomie Harris is also sufficiently easy on the eyes that I'm willing to let Broccoli productions off the hook.

Yeah, maybe Bond fights a bunch of Moslems in the next film, who are trying to undermine British society.

Looks and acts like a common street thug. No class, none.
Just like todays’ society.

I saw Sky Fall last weekend and here are a few observations concerning my opinions:
1. Daniel Craig is an excellent Bond. As good or better than Sean Connery was in his first set of Bond movies.
2. The character as written in Sky Fall is the best James Bond character written, including all Bond films.
3. De-emphasizing the gadgetry has helped a lot. No magic invisible cars, no ICMB rocket packs, etc. In fact, I would prefer they tone it down even further with relation to MI6 headquarters. Everyone knows that the British welfare state has very limited funds for such things.
4. The sex is more realistic and more in line with the story line, when it is less graphic and less romantic. Bond is not looking for relationships and he is not Don Juan.
5. Gritty, character driven plots are the best. Is it possible to completely expunge all of the Roger Moore Bond movies from cinematic history?
6. Making Bond more human and less cartoonish is key. James Bond as super-hero gets old.
7. Hopefully the old saw of being left to die in some Rube Goldberg type device will never appear again.
8. I loved the use of the old Aston Martin Q-car. It slightly violated my gadget rule, but its use was almost a symbolic goodbye to those trappings (I hope).
9. Thankfully, the constant reminders that it is “Bond, James Bond” and “Shaken, not stirred” have all but disappeared.
10. We still need realistic villains. The Sky Fall villain had a more believable premise than most Bond story lines have, but we really don't have an evil billionaire problem in the world...wait, perhaps Soros as the next Bond villain?

Oh I don't know. Replacing a frumpy middle-aged woman lusting after Bond with a hot, young woman for Bond to lust after hardly seems PC to me.

Come on, admit it. You secretly loved listening to Timothy Dalton over emphasize every line in a dramatic monotone.

I think the Austin Powers parody, pretty much guaranteed that...."Why don't you just shoot him?"

After they killed off Judi Dench (his boss) in Skyfall, I'm wondering who'll play his boss.

I'll miss Dame Judi Dench (she is a Great actress. She was in the BBC show 'As Time Goes By', that might be shown on your local PBS station. On Saturday, we like watching the British comedies - 'Are You Being Served', "keeping Up Apprearances' and 'As Time Goes By'. All great shows!!)

Agreed.
Daniel Craig has that unique poker face that is required for his position. I never saw that face in Moore nor Brosnan — I could ‘read’ them from a mile away...
