SAN DIEGO (CBSLA.com) Its not every day the California Highway Patrol has to make a traffic stop on the Easter Bunny.
But thats exactly what happened on one Southland highway early Saturday morning.
Brian Pennings, a public information officer for the CHP-East County, told CBSLA.com that an officer was on routine patrol on Interstate 8 when he observed a man dressed up as a giant rabbit on a motorcycle traveling down the highway near San Diego.
Pennings says the officer proceeded to make a traffic stop after noticing that the rider wasnt wearing a helmet. Also, he said, the costume posed a safety concern since it was a visual impairment.
The man told the officer he was headed to a charity event.
He was given a verbal warning but was not issued a citation, Pennings said.
This was the first time Im aware that we got the Easter Bunny on a motorcycle, he said, adding that theyve stopped vehicles before with people donning Santa suits and other costumes
LOL! I like the fists up the eyes like cartoon crying.
This probably isn’t unusual. I keep seeing where a pig driving a convertible gets pulled over for having a taillight out.
CA has helmet laws?
This is CA..everything has a law here
Helmets are a visual impairment, and a hearing impairment too.
They make the head look good in the coffin though when the accident is unsurvivable anyway.
He passed some kids on the way to the mall who waved at him screaming "HI SANTA!!!"
His last words were "HI KIDS!!!"
LOL!
Actually wait I take that back, everything has a law here, except if your here illegally, its not a crime, its all good
They came here “through no fault of their own”. They heard about all the free stuff and couldn’t help themselves. All of a sudden, they were just here! LOL!
That polling station can be seen right when you cross the border..A Dem sees an illegal and says “Quick, a voter, GO GET HIM..and make sure he gets all the food stamps and Obama phones he could possibly use”
I know this guy. I have seen him on the 1. Hard not to recognize that bike with the sidecar.
Steel Magnolias...
