The Jim Henson Co. says Henson's partner in marriage and Muppets has died.
The company says Jane Henson died Tuesday at her Connecticut home following a battle with cancer. She was 78.

What is a “partner in marriage”? That’s a new one. You’re either a shack-up honey or you’re a wife. Can we just STOP redefining everything?
I think this one is the fault of some very clumsy prose from the article writer. Jane and Jim were husband and wife. They separated in 1986 but never divorced.
Maybe you could have read the whole sentence? She was Henson's partner in marriage AND his partner with the muppets. I don't think they're trying to redefine anything.
While I feel for the family of Mr.Henson,his”Sesame Street”has done more to indoctrinate our”Crumb-Crunchers”into “EnviroWackos”,Haters of Capitalism,and just good all-around COMMIES than ANYTHING else!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
