I suspect that it's days are numbered and bankruptcy is in their future...
Feel free to short it, or you can buy puts.
I’m with you. I used to get my towels and sheets (among other things) at JCP, but no more. I found a set of towels recently on the internet that were just as good quality and a lower price (even including shipping). So long, JCP, nice knowing you. NOT.
Now that got rid of this Apple ass clown wonder if still will run pro homo ads on Mother/Father’s days.......
“Can’t a group of Tradition Values people start an upscale clothing chain?”
They have one but it is unisex. It is called Brooks Brothers. The wives, however, are permitted to shop for the fellas.
Unfortunately, fundamentals mean nothing now.
I haven’t seen his buyout but I hope there is a clawback clause because he basically stole it... ;-)
Doesn’t the JCP stock price kind of contradict your statement?
Yes, but brick and mortar stores seem to be in a whole ‘nother category, which is more down to earth. Actually, I’ll take that back, too, since the retail group as a whole is fantastically overpriced.
It seems that only for out-of-favor stocks do fundamentals matter lol.
Otherwise we seem to be back in a 1999 scenario when “page hits”, wet dreams, and similar vapours were the important factor going into valuations.
I checked out the merchandise but unfortunately failed to see anything women’s tall. The logo said southern style. . .I thought they grew them tall in the South . . .especially Texas. I’ll check again.
LOL, that’s too bad. Don’t know if there are stores in Texas.....here in Virginia we aren’t that tall. ;)
Of course. Like many other media ‘celebrities’ who start charities as a front for tax deductions, all the while smiling for the camera and urging the ‘youth’ to vote for the socialist democraps. We should all start charities and incorporate ourselves to avoid feeding the beast.
Queer Eye doesn’t shop at Penney’s, but the best part is, the jackasses can be sued into oblivion by shareholders.
Thanks Morgana.
There was an article in my local rag today about J.C. Penney and why it failed to attract customers and no mention was made at all about homosexual ads. Nope, no mention whatsoever.
Is Brooks Brothers CONSERVATIVE and have Traditional Family Values???
Oh, they built the ship Titanic, to sail the ocean blue
And they thought they had a ship that the water wouldn’t go through
But the good Lord raised His hand, said the ship would never land
It was sad when the great ship went down.
Chorus: Oh, it was sad, so sad
It was sad when the great ship went down
To the bottom of the sea
(Uncle’s, Aunts little children lost their pants)
It was sad when the great ship went down.
O they were not far from shore when they heard that mighty roar
And the rich refused to associate with the poor.
So they put them down below where they’d be the first to go
It was sad when the great ship went down...
Chorus
The California not a dozen miles away
never heard the SOS ‘cus the crew had hit the hay
Captian and crew never knew that ship was through
It was sad when the great ship went down...
Chorus
The moral of this story is very play to see
Always wear a life preserver whenever you’re at sea
Uncles and Aunts, little Chilren Lost there pants
It was sad when the great ship when down...
Chorus
Ker plunk it sunk! what a rotten piece of junk!
Double Bubble, You’re in trouble
The end. Amen!
I stopped shopping there for the very reasons in this article. Glad I wasn’t alone.
I can’t answer that. Perhaps you could do some research on that.
The homosexual ads did it."
Same here, all I hear is that J.C. Penny is the gay store, don't go there. I think that there is a quite boycott of all gay businesses going on in America today.
