"The conflict between law enforcement and armed military personnel in the community around Fort Hood, one of Americas largest military bases, has recently and repeatedly involved the issue of gun control ....The conflict reached a fever pitch last month, when Texas police arrested an active-duty Army sergeant for rudely displaying a hunting rifle. The sergeant, C.J. Grisham, established an online legal defense fund after he was, in his words, illegally arrested and disarmed for carrying the firearm....
-Video of the incident obtained by The Daily Caller shows officers defending their behavior to Grisham while restraining him....
In this day and age, [people] are alarmed when they see someone with what you have, one of the officers tells Grisham in the video. They dont care what the law is.

Gun control killed a dozen soldiers on Ft. Hood.
Rudely displayed? “This is my damned gun?”
When a LEO clearly says that he “doesn’t care what the law is” then he needs to find another job or else he should not be surprised if he gets shot. Texas has a law on the books that allows its citizens to defend themselves from rogue cops and to do so with lethal force. This a-hole is an example of why that law was drafted and passed.

Careful pal, they’ll shoot your dog

If the story is accurate then the State Attorney General should get involved to discover if his rights were violated under the U.S. and Stat constitutions by the officers a D.A. under the color of authority and if the did prosecute them. Operating under the Colorado of authority and commiting a crime or depriving someone of their constitutional rights is a much more serious crime.
Obama has yet to call Hasan a Muslim Terrorist
did they ever shave the weird beard?
It’s widely assumed in police circles now, that in general, former soldiers are “like Tim McVeigh,” “homophobic,” etc. I’ve been in a combat platoon, have tried civilian patrol work and have seen the attitudes in person.
No. Instead the Army gave him a more pliable Judge who never demanded it.
Thanks for the link. Looks like he violated the no open carry law in Texas.
Hope this soldier skins them alive in court - ends up owning the prescinct. http://dailycaller.com/2013/04/12/police-anti-gun-prosecutor-clash-with-soldiers-in-area-around-fort-hood-video/2/
I hope CJ’s lawyers ream these jerks.

The law against open carry in Texas does not apply to long guns.
Thanks... I thought only shotguns were exempt... I’ll have to look it up.
Is it a crime in Texas to open carry a long gun?
Thanks...I didn’t think it was illegal in Tx.
You can openly carry a long gun in Texas.
