Thanks for the ping. A lot of slideshow cuteness.

One of mine likes to relax in my sock drawer. She then slowly periscopes her head up. It's pretty hysterical to watch!

Mine are fairly shy about falling asleep in public. There may be a reason for that. I got jokes.

Turn off the lights, and they think you can't see IR and are up your Washington,DC.

This is your cat on catnip. Any questions?

My sock drawer is not open to the public. It's by invitation only.

Cute kitties! It’s funny how kitty and pup pics can take the edge off of a bad news week.

My (at least nine year old) feral decided to relocate indoors. The dogs don’t like her and the feeling is mutual so I keep them separated by doing a “time share”. She ends up sleeping in some of the craziest places.

I will admit she is quite amusing. Her latest antic is to race around the room at high speed...like a Nascar driver in the final laps. Then...all of a sudden she flops down on her back and lays there all spread out. The first time she did it, it scared me. I was afraid she had given herself a heart attack. But it just seems to be what she is doing right now. Not being a cat person per se..I don’t have a clue what the heck it’s all about.

The time I have spent with her in her outdoor days..she has always been very sedate and dignified. Her new kittenish ways are very cute.

Mine like to do the 3 AM Thunder Paws race. Cats aren’t meant to be understood, just worshiped.

Hiding under the bed and begging off by claiming a cat sick days is a public space.

Turn the lights out, and they think they own the world. Weirds 'em out a bit when you can see as well in the dark as they do and play a round of slap-paws with 'em.

My boy Canoe - named after the boyfriend of Haley Mills in the original That Darn Cat. I don’t have the pictures, but he sleeps anywhere and everywhere.

O.K....as long as it is “normal” cat behavior. :)

I haven’t started worshipping her...yet. I just obey her whims since I have wanted her to come inside for YEARS so I could protect her!

I should say that is him in the picture above. He’s a good Blue Point boy - most of the time.

Her latest antic is to race around the room at high speed.”

I’ve had a number of cats over the years and none did this until my current one. She flies through the room, leaps high enough to careen off the back of an upholstered chair and then continues to race back into another part of the house. It is just too weird. I also have to keep the bathroom doors closed because she has taught herself to turn the faucets on. Rather disconcerting when I forget and wake up during the night to the sound of running water.

Would love to know what is going on in her mind - or maybe not...

Mine react the same way when they’re sleeping on top of me and I need to get up.
