Authorities in Gainesville, Fla. have charged William Daniel Lloyd with discharging a firearm in public and possession of ammunition by a convicted felon, after he reportedly tried to shoot a squirrel for dinner by taping a .40-caliber cartridge to the muzzle of a Pumpmaster 7670 BB gun. Lloyd, 31, was treated and later released for shrapnel wounds when the cartridge exploded. The condition of the targeted squirrel was not reported. The Gainesville Sun

Where you find squirrels, you’ll also find nuts!
Much quieter, and you can hear the thwock when it hits. Subsonic.
Ha! For sure, maybe something got into the water but more likely a bad batch of drugs.
I’m sticking with they’re just Florida natives. You know...morons.

He should have wrapped the cartridge casing with duct tape. That would have kept it from bursting /sarc
Yeah but where are you going to buy any today?
Wal-mart sells the Beeeman “Grizzly” with two interchangeable barrels, one shoots BB or .177 pellet, the other shoots .22 pellet. I have confirmed that the .22 pellet will go through TWO 3/4 inch Western Red Cedar boards at forty feet making a hole that looks like a drilled hole. I wouldn’t want to be shot with it. The .177 pellet will go through one of the boards and make an impression on the second one. I haven’t tried BBs but I am sure it would be a reasonable squirrel killer with BBs.
Over 55 years ago my cousin and I were shooting at 12 ga shells stuck in the side a dirt embankment, they were buried with the primers facing us. After a volley of shoots with out pellet guns my cousin finally hit one and it blew back and hit him right over the left eye. In the moments right before a pump knot about the size of a golfball showed up you could read Remington Peters on the impact area.
I can’t decide if this guy is creatively stupid or stupidly creative.
I got the Titan GP in 22 cal and I’ve taken rabbits, skunks and rattlers out on the ranch. There are no longer any squirrels hitting my bird feeders. For some reason they keep disappearing between the biscuits and gravy.
I think when Hussein knows these weapons kill something, they will be reclassified as real firearms and I'm not kidding when I say that. I got plenty of pellets and BBs but it's the hollow point pellets I'll be using if I need to do that with the squirrels in the trees behind my house. If they attack my food plants, good bye squirrels - and birds if they do that.
Try the Raptor pellets.
