The newest trend is to admit that some parts of the world is undergoing global warming, and some parts global cooling. Course, to fix anything at this point, would be comical to admit.

It's hard to believe that "scientists" are just now learning this. Retirees have known this forever.

Well, Professor Don Easterbrook, if the libtards from CA hadn't moved to W WA state, the W side of Mt Rainier wouldn't be in peril! All that traffic and breathing y'all created. Because the E side of the Mt is just fine!

/sarc (sorta - but he wouldn't get my point anyway)

Washington will find some way to fire the guy. Oregon had a state climatologist that debunked CO2 global warming years ago. The then governor Kulingoski (DDD) fired the guy because it was against the Oregon state religion of global warming.

Do you live in Olympia? I went to high school there.

It is true that the Cascades are getting colder all the time. I like to hike there, and for about three years the snowpack has persisted until late July and starts again in September. Only about six weeks of hiking the higher parts without snowshoes.

For two years they did not even plow the road to Artemis Point on Mt. Baker because there was so much snow. I like the heavy snow on Baker for skiing, but like it to melt down for some summer hiking. That has not been happening lately.

I laugh at how they started naming ordinary thunderstorms to make them seem more intense and dangerous (and imply a relationship to “global warming”).

http://www.amazon.com/Nazi-Oaks-Mark-Musser/dp/1597551929

From Amazon:

Unbeknownst to many, the highway to modern environmentalism passed through Nazi Germany. By 1935, the Third Reich was the greenest regime on the planet. Many scholars have rightly focused on Nazi racism over the years, but have often failed to notice that German Social Darwinism was rooted in ecology. What the Nazis derogatively labeled “the Eternal Jew,” the Jew who tried to overcome nature through international commercialism and cosmopolitanism, was specifically targeted. It is thus no coincidence that sweeping Nazi environmental legislation preceded the racially charged anti-Semitic Nuremberg Laws. Furthermore, the quest for Lebensraum in the East, was far more than just another form of colonial expansionism. It was also a sinister eco-imperial plan designed to Germanize the landscape by removing populations of people who were unsuited to their environment, and by turning it into a beautiful natural park for the future health of the German race.

Easterbrook is already retired, and yes, many have complained about his testimony - http://nwgeology.wordpress.com/2013/03/31/climate-change-wwu-geology-refutes-don-easterbrook/.
