Two nights ago while performing in Moscow, Russia, Emmure frontman Frankie Palmeri was shocked, literally. The scary incident can be viewed below in the fan-filmed video.
Following the incident, the band cut the set short.
Band guitarist Mike Mulholland tweeted: "I'm so sorry to all of our Moscow fans who came to see us tonight, the stage was unsafe and electrocuted @FrankiePalmeri. We will make it up."

never heard of them... that said, it looked like he was using a wireless mic, is there a capacitor in there that could zap him???

I believe that’s how ex-Yardbirds lead singer Keith Relf passed away.
Nothing in a wireless microphone can zap you. However many years ago, when I was somewhat younger, I once helped a band to set up. They had an amazing quantity of cables and electrical boxes, many of which were connected to mostly metal instruments. If the live wire connects to the surface of one instrument, and another remains grounded, the voltage between the two will be sufficient to attract your attention. You can also touch something on the scene that is grounded.
All these cables and speakers and amplifiers and instruments are portable, and they get banged up whenever you set up and tear down. Nobody ever monitors these things with a Megger - not in a true band anyway :-)

i didn't think so 100 years ago our bass player had the polarity on his amp set wrong, touched his lips to the mic and went down like he was shot... he always touched it with his finger after that
Looks like the mike was hot and the other guy was bare footed and
sweaty. Palmeri was holding the mike and the other shorted
him out through the sweaty shirt by touching him. That”s why when he touched him
with his bare hand he got bit. I’ve had a lip fried a few
times on a mike before. Usually its a polarity switch out of sync some where.
As an old ex-bass player I can attest to this. Talk about knockin’ yer dingus in the dirt...

It sounds like they were tuning up (or worse) ...that wasn’t really music was it?
Somebody didn’t get the word that May is Electrical Safety Month.
