Many people have said it is wrong but that hasnt stopped Irish food company Tayto from making a cheese and onion flavoured chocolate bar.
The firm has already sold out of the 100,000 bars it initially produced in response to requests from people on social networks.
Tayto boss Eamon Eastwood admitted customers had reacted strongly to the snack, which has a flavour normally associated with crisps.
I couldnt believe the reaction, he said.
It went off the Richter scale with almost half a million impressions.
The chief executive described the bar as crunchy chocolate and then a lingering taste of cheese of onion.
Unsurprisingly the treat has received a mixed response.

Others on the social network were less enthusiastic.
@ErnieNinja added: In Ireland they made a chocolate bar cheese and onion flavoured! I just lost my appetite.
No! Blech!
I like cheese, onion, and chocolate ... maybe I’d like this.
Sounds like the kind of flavor combo you’d come up with while falling-down drunk.
I like those flavors too, but not all at once.
I’d try it! Reminds me how weird I though bacon and chocolate was...until I tried it. Mmmmmmmm!!!

LOL...we had the same thought! LOL
Try a piece of bacon with a slice of pumpkin pie. Yum!
Coarse chop Blue Diamond Bold Habanero BBQ flavored almonds and stir it into melted chocolate chips. Yum, again!
I’m finicky when it comes to chocolate. I DO NOT like white chocolate.
But I’d try cheese, onion, and chocolate. Yes I would.
Lake Champlain's: Organic Dark Spicy Aztec Chocolate Bar They are kinda hard to find....I get mine at Whole Foods.
.........pumpkin seeds, hot cayenne pepper, and fragrant cinnamon in every nibble. MMMMMmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.
Crunchy Frog?
Thanks. I’ll try it!
Chocolate Cheese!
1 lb Velveeta Cheese
1 lb Butter
4 lb Confectioners Sugar
1 c Cocoa
2 tsp Vanilla
Preparation
In large saucepan, slowly melt cheese and butter together.
Sift sugar and cocoa together. Add to melted cheese mixture, stir until completely dissolved. Mixture will be stiff. Pour into greased 9x13 pan. Allow to cool in refrigerator, frost.
Store covered in fridge.
Frosting Ingredients:
8 oz. cream cheese
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
1 tsp. Vietnamese Cinnamon (regular cinnamon will work, but not be as spicy)
1 tsp. Grand Marnier
Now THAT sounds like something I’d try. I love dark chocolate, and I love spicy food.
Uhhhh no. Bacon and chocolate I’ve had, and it was good. Cheese and chocolate works, Swiss Colony used to have a chocolate cheese fudge type thing that was wonderful. But what is this current trend to mix everything? Broccoli and marshmallows, pumpkin and tomatoes, hide cauliflower in everything...truly nauseating combinations promoted as ‘new’ and ‘gourmet’. Please! I like dessert with dinner, not dessert IN dinner.
