Michigan St. Univ. football recruit turns down college to... Become a rapper

Jay Harris, Downingtown East’s star wide receiver, said he phoned a Michigan State assistant two weeks ago and broke the news.

He would not be a Spartan.

“I wish we could’ve got you,” Harris said the coach told him.

It was not a rival program that drew Harris, but instead a different career path. The 5-foot-11, 162-pound senior said he wants to make it as a rapper.

So, he couldn’t get his education and play football while aspiring to be a rapper? You know, go to plan 2 if plan 1 fails? SMMFH!!!!

At 5/11, 162lbs....This kid would actually get killed quicker on the football field than as a rapper. Dude is a stick

On his team, the varsity football players ran the gamut on grades, very similar to the general student body....One of his teammates was awarded the title of University Scholar since he had a perfect 4.0 from his freshman year, he was also an Engineering student...

Yes,some players skimming the system....

But the bulk pull their load.... The outliers are those cheater students and not the good ones....

The scandals that make the news are usually limited to a couple of colleges and few select students.....

The vast bulk of coaches and kids are very dedicated...
